Thanks for mentioning the brakes at the end! Not discussed much but super important!

I just picked up a slightly used 24 foot (16 foot tilt deck and 8 foot stationary) 2022 HDT207. Love the thing so far. Here's my pros and cons. PROS -great sturdy built trailer, good welds and superior structural design -great powder coat colors with Diamond C -great lighting package -the tilt deck beats the ever living shit out of dealing with slide-in ramps Lol -the big 36" wide step on driver side front is huge plus as mentioned in the video -trailer pulls absolutely amazing empty or loaded which is VERY hard to find in any trailer! -great storage area in the front with the heavy duty design of the 3/16" decking when closed and turns into deck area -the 12k lbs HD jack on the front is awesome instead of a smaller bulldog jack as in my last trailer CONS -the storage compartment lid latch assembly seems very chinsey as this guy mentioned for such a heavy duty built lid. I haven't had any issues yet but I could see where they could happen when I bought this trailer and this guy confirmed it -the storage lid is not sealed in any way like a traditional tool box would be. Everything in the storage compartment would be soaked when pulling these trailers in the rain or sleet/slush -the detachable trailer fenders rattle heavily, they need some sort of anti-rattle device on them and also as this guy mentioned something to keep the rocks and debris out from between the frame and fenders which I hadn't thought of or experienced yet -detachable fenders need some sort of easier detach method. They have the carriage head bolts with nuts and will need a wrench or ratchet/socket and seem sorta hard to get to in a tight situation such as being on the side of a road/freeway in extreme hot (as in AZ) or cold temps. I had recently replaced the fenders on my old car trailer and I fabricated them to be detachable with all Stainless hardware. I welded the head of the bolt on the under side and used a Stainless wing nut with nylon insert on the top so they could be easily loosened with a wrench, screwdriver, pliers, or even beating on it with a rock from the side of the road in an emergency scenario. This could be changed VERY EASILY on a D-C trailer but worth a mention All in All, would I buy a Diamond C trailer again? HELL YES WITHOUT A DOUBT!!

Sweet Diamond C! I have a 24ft Diamond C HDT in metallic blue with the pop up winch. Love it! She’s a virgin though, only for personal use, haven’t even hauled my first load with it yet.

Thanks! This is a great trailer Can't wait to get another. Sometimes I wish mine had a winch..

did you have to buy their winch with the pop up winch option?

Nice trailer! I'd move your ratcheting chain binder in between the d-rings on the deck. That is how we use one chain and one binder. We only use one chain on the back. Our Bobcat E35 has mounting points on the tracks that work well with a short chain.

I’m not sire if you have seen them but check out the stake pocket d ring adaptors. You can put a d ring in every stake pocket if you want.

Have you ever had your dovetail hit the ground? It looks like it's low - very close to the ground.
@DorseyCo8 ай бұрын
when its hooked up the front of the trailer sits about 4 inches lower bringing the back up. But i have definitely raked it on a few slopes.

Just a heads up your chain setup is illegal in 2 ways. The bucket needs a seperate chain over it and you need 4 chains/binders one at each corner of machine. You probably know all of that but just in case.

Roger that brother, hell at least I am chaining it down! I see so much without any restraint.

It’s a good trailer, it’s just a little pricey. But if you’re going to use it every day you need a trailer like that.
@DorseyCo Жыл бұрын
We use it about 2-3 times a week. It’s held up good. 100% agree if you are using it once a month maybe something a little less build would be reasonable
