I really like Losts videos because for the most part he actually showcases the weapons that he's talking about, there's a few other PvP channel people for Elden Ring that swap around to much to everything else. Gets a bit grating because someone might click to see a showcase, then see the guy sniping with a greatbow or somethihng for about 30min.

Just wanted to let you know that Exalted Flesh and Flame, Grant Me Strength are both Body Buffs so you cannot not use both of them. The most recent one will take effect. So, go with Flame, Grant Me Strength as it will give you the stronger buff since it boosts both Physical and Fire Damage.

Messmers assault counts as a fire knight skill, which can be boosted by wearing serpent helmet. Also, i think axe talisman and smithscript talisman both boost the damage of your charged throws. Good video 😊

​@marjase9172 it lowers your negations yeah. It can hurt in base game, but with the way the blessing level works in the DLC, you just get raw negation that far outweighs the penalties from wearing the full set and completely negates that downside.

Been invading on a straight cosplay build & a lot of the things you point out about the weapon are things I definitely agree with. The spear can be good... if they decide to stand still & directly trade with it, lol, but even with punishing heals the regular R2 hits like a wet noodle & the charged R2 tends to come out too slow. I've considered free-aiming it at the ground for the AoE to provide some hitstun on enemies & it sorta works? One thing I would suggest is considering the standard multi-attack setup with Prothesis & Rotted Winged Sword with Thorny Tear, as the ash attacks are each considered hits for the purposes of stacking everything up. Makes the burst damage of the ash pretty wild & any follow-up attacks hit like a train. Didn't consider using the oil though, tend to have bad experiences from hosts using it against me lol.

As far as PVP goes, I have no idea how good it is because I don't do PVP really. For PVE however, I think it's incredibly underwhelming. At least without buffs. I'd rather just use a Flame Art weapon for a better experience.

The hunter mechanic attracts people who want to pvp but get frustrated with invading because they can't handle overcoming being at a disadvantage, so instead will sit and wait a long time to get a summon to be part of the side that's advantaged. Anyone who is experienced enough in PvP would never wait that long for a summon, and instead would just invade.

The reason I was PVPing at the time is because me and my cousin were playing coop all the time and would get invaded often. I wanted to get better at it. It’s fun but I am more of a casual solo RPG player. I have pvp experience from DaoC so the not giving a shit about dying in pvp helped.

It's split fire damage which is abysmal without any buffs but other than that the moveset is excellent.
