You’re right, this is not a double jeopardy situation. However, puffy was acquitted of the charges. You cannot be prosecuted for the same crime twice. He was acquitted so it’s similar to double jeopardy just not the same exact thing. He was on to something, just wrong about the term. Double jeopardy is more about if you are found guilty of a crime and then years later they try you for the exact same thing you were already convicted for and try to give you more time.
