Week 2 Watch Party vs. The Houston Texans: www.eventbrite...
The Chicago Bears get HUGE news for WR Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze. Odunze is LIKELY to play, but Allen is doubtful this upcoming Sunday against the Houston Texans. A Chicago offense that needs all the help they can get, has a much better chance if these two play against Danielle Hunter and the Texans defense.
But, the Chicago Bears did lose Ryan Bates to IR and will miss the next 4 weeks. The G/C was a big addition to the offensive line room this past offseason from the Buffalo Bills, and was in a starting RG competition with Nate Davis before he was placed on IR. Bears now have Coleman Shelton and Doug Kramer as their two centers on the roster, so Ryan Poles may want to make some moves here.
3 keys to the game for Chicago
1. Cole Kmet needs to be BIG today
2. Shane Waldron needs to involve D'Andre Swift, Khalil Herbert in offense
3. Darrell Taylor, Montez Sweat, Gervon Dexter Sr., and Andrew Billings need to create a TON of pressure on C.J Stroud.
The injury report though does create some concern around this Bears in their injury report. The current report goes as the following
Keenan Allen (Heel)- Questionable
Rome Odunze (Knee)- Questionable
DeMarcus Walker (Foot)- Questionable
Zaach Pickens (Groin)- ACTIVE
Kiran Amegaji (Quad)- ACTIVE
Ryan Bates (Shoulder/Arm)- OUT (IR)
Khari Blasingame (Leg)- OUT
The Houston Texans though have Dalton Schultz as questionable, along with Juice Scruggs and Dameon Pierce.
