It was canceled by The WB after three episodes (low ratings), with the network (now in lame duck status after The WB/ UPN merger being finalized and becoming The CW) airing remaining episodes on Sunday nights the following summer.

@@bluecadillac True and in Miami Vice he was always cleaning his sunglasses on his $1000 jackets. In this show he uses his ties. He also walks with his hands in his pants pockets, like in Miami Vice. Lots of homage that Vice fans will recognize

So sorry, but it doesn't add up to Nash Bridges. The combination of Nash and Joe cannot be better. Joe's sparkle is fantastic together with Nash's charm. The only woman he didn't make love to was Betty Ann. Even for the male spectator it fits with the usual persona of the "cine noir" detective. Look at Mike Hammer, The Maltese Hawk, Tony Dinozzo in NCIS. Even the silver haired Gibbs gets the attention of Ducky's mother. All this goes to the ALFA male, the one that leads the pack.
