These are nice colors and it's nice to see more cremes lately. I love shimmer but I've been feeling like everything has been shimmery lately so again, nice to see some cremes. And yes, thought there'd be some brighter colors but overall, the colors aren't bad.

Me too. I kinda expect cremes from Essie 99% of the time. I wish they still did the random oddball release like they used to do though. I’m hoping China Glaze or Salon Perfect do something with some razzle dazzle sparkley goodness for summer this year.

It’s so frustrating when you buy a polish based off the bottle color only to find it’s completely different on the nail. I just looked at swatches and it’s a completely different color on the nail vs the bottle

Thank you! I remember the base was a Sweet & Sour Lacquer polish but I can’t remember what I had put on top. I didn’t have it on for very long since I decided I wanted glitter on my nails instead 😅

I think market saturation is really starting to show in all releases, mainstream, boutique, and indie alike. I mean of course there has always been nail polish since, I don’t know the 20s?, but I’m not sure the market has ever been this flooded? Everyone’s scrambling to get a collection out every month. This is a perfectly fine collection and if I focused I might see a shade or two I actually want but it’s hard to focus and get excited because 1. I haven’t even gotten my hands on the spring polishes I’ve ordered and 2. there’s always something else comin’ round the bend. (Self-awareness moment: I understand I don’t represent the average nail polish consumer base, who are probably buying one or two pink/red polishes a year.)

It does seem odd how we went from seasonal releases to monthly. I like having non-seasonal things but there are times when I feel like it’s pointless to try to keep track of everything coming out because it’s just too much
