Es ist eigentlich nicht notwendig, Luftwurzeln zu entfernen! Ein versehentliches Anschneiden hat jedoch keine großen Auswirkungen, da das Anschneiden der Luftwurzeln das Wachstum neuer Wurzeln gemäß dem natürlichen Mechanismus der Pflanze stimuliert.
