This must be God speaking to me because I was always checking Facebook and messenger every couple minutes to see if any guys message or such. I always end up disappointed and sad. I stay awake late everyday exhausted because I am too busy on Facebook. Everyday activities and life revolves around Fb and messenger and it distracted me from my family as well as getting closer to God. Watching this and reading the comments on your thread, I now know I am making the right decision. May God bless you all and thank you. It seems I am not the only one that has this addiction.

I just prayed this morning asking God to tell me what i’m doing wrong & help me to break anything that isn’t of him. I was determined to find a sermon here on youtube, determined that God had one for me today. I kept scrolling and nothing showed up, until i felt in my spirit to click on my subscriptions and low and behold I find this sermon. I'm right there with you Wesley and radioguy801, I'm almost 19 months sober, its definitely one day at a time for me. My spiritual condition is directly related to my sobriety, and I love how God has walked by my side or even carried me at times the last 2 years. The more I grow in my relationship with God, the more I see all the different layers, and the more I surrender, the more I can see God's plan for my life, and now I have faith that God can fill me up all the way, instead of drugs or alcohol. I'm so thankful for recovery, and every day I'm so amazed of how much God wants me! I hate addiction, but I can say I'm thankful for the incredible lessons I have learned in sobriety! When I saw this thumbnail truly in my heart I believe starting with a change the first 2 things you have to do is put God first and also put your effort into it. I believe when you are ready to make that change or complete that goal and you need God's help you have to show him your putting effort into it because otherwise he's not going to help you in that path until you have showed him you ready and when he knows your ready. It doesn't have to be alot and alot effort just like they said a mustard seed of faith all you need to do is a mustard seed of effort at a time and God will definitely see that. I mean hey that's better than nothing because I know I've been there so many times of doing nothing until I started out doing mustard seeds effort of little things and today I'm still on that mustard seed but we can get better and bigger with that through God and Jesus. The Lord was speaking to me the other night about a concept he walked me through, showing me that everything is simple but deep. I started to look for the deeper reasoning to everything, and started dismissing the smaller more simple steps. Let go, so the story can write itself. That is the message I just got, and this sermon backs that up. Thank you. I have control issues. Not control of others, but control of the outcome. I’ve already been shown the outcome, so now my lesson is to let go of control. Who can take away what God has already given me? I'm fighting against depression, this week I was able to study a little bit, and take a shower everyday. My brother wants me to open a business and make money, however I cannot do that yet, and if I try to step up longer than my legs I will fall.
