I’m so dumbfounded by the negative racial encounters I’ve seen since last summer (and before but not as publicized) between races. I live in Central Indiana, not Indy, and everyone just gets along all the time. I talk to everyone and everyone talks to me. I mean I went to our local range today and as I was leaving and putting my bag in the trunk a 40ish year old black guy gets out and ask me how I’m doing. So we start talking about the gun I just bought and ammo prices and local places in town to shop. All while he’s loading his rifle to stay up on his practice. Then we both waved at a cop who was also leaving the store. Idk man. Maybe shit is just different here and I’m super lucky. I pray it doesn’t change.

Yes, we can all get along! Retired Navy and had one of my BFF's tell me years ago, "Only in the military will you see an white, Mexican and a black guy walking down the street together having a good time" and over the years he was, from my perspective, 100% right.
