I went to college in a new city, fresh and out and ready to meet someone. I experienced the reverse of slut-shaming; I was criticized and demeaned for demanding that my sexual encounters be tied to emotion. Casual sex wasn't and isn't for me and the LGBT community around me did a pretty shitty thing in making me feel like a prude. As long as a persons sexual encounters aren't harming him or others; who cares? Accept that your friend is comfortable at the level of sexual activity they are at. If you can't do that you're not a very good friend.

Yeah no. This is the shit I'm talking about. I like monogamy. I like sex with one person that I have a physical and emotional connection to. I feel GOOD having these things. If it's not for you that's fine - but don't tell me my choice is prudish or unnatural or that the alternative is just so much better like I'm simply ignorant of the truth.

I enjoyed your topic today, Levi is very down to earth, he is boy friend material, his partner would have to be trusting and going in with eyes open, I don't let negativity of other people effect me, i tune them out and try to surround myself with good quality people.

So between this Levi guy (who I am ashamed to say I had never seen or heard of) and the AC boy that was in the first episode, I seem to get that these incredibly attractive guys we tend to objectify and (some of us) beat off to, have been really awesome human beings and I don't know why, but it makes me very happy that they are... They also made excellent guests, keep them coming!!!

Even if they don't "shame" you, doesn't change what they think. They think that since you're a sex worker, everybody knows your body inside out, which makes you not special. Now that's debatable as far as I'm concerned, but I get where they come from.

Guys like Levi make me EXTREMELY uneasy, not because he's a bad guy, I'm just really jealous because he's so hot. I can't thank you enough for this. I can't stand prudes and the holier than thou gays that feel better than others because of how "normal" they are. I also hate when they pull the "you're making us look bad" as if our equality is up for ransom with how well we behave. I'm a very sexual, lewd, and sex+ person so I can't stand slut shaming.

Awww, I want to give Levi a big hug! It's interesting. I've heard people say people who've had a lot of sex aren't relationship material, and generally avoid people who have had a lot of sex. I think we've had the sexual revolution and post-AIDS monogamy. The "let's fuck our way to freedom" thing is looked down on. Having lots of sex just means you're having lots of sex; it isn't revolutionary or liberating except personally, maybe. Mainstream culture does look down on sluts whether straight, gay or whatever label somebody wears. It really is only if someone's at risk of harm - having unsafe sex, etc - that you should speak out.

One thing about the whole "adult film" issue is the idea that they throw people together who have nothing in common. However, I heard one actor say he would never do a scene with someone he wasn't attracted to.

To be honest RJ...I feel the same sometimes. I am asexual, and I get people questioning my sexuality daily, whether it's at work, my friends, or even my family. No one seems to ever believe me and it just gets frustrating having to defend myself 24/7 ..... however, it's who I am, how I identify, and it makes me comfortable! So I get it completely! =^_^=

I'm surprised RJ didn't plug one of Levi's Cockyboy videos, especially since he claimed that the "industry" was super clean and healthy. I mean it is his job after all, the more views the better he gets paid right? Also I'd like to know if either RJ or Will has ever seen one of Levi's videos....

I think I'd like these segments to be a bit more organized like instead of "hinting at surprise guests" just to say in advanced and let ppl be able to ask a question. obviously ignore the dumb ones or at least do it more interview style with some pre-set questions. I think it would be really interesting to learn from the perspective of a porn stars life or tips about that world. but i felt this video didn't really go into too much and i think there was already a video about slut shaming previously on one of your channels or it was mentioned briefly. I was more curious about his perspective

The logic behind slut shaming is because of the risk of spreading STD's and the damage it causes is exponential and even with condoms the risk is still there. As valid as that is, that's hardly a reason to shame anyone for anything so I don't agree with it. Sex is great and there are too many hot guys in the world for me not to be. I think everyone should be slutty(if you naturally are) just be safe and reasonable. This is something Davey(Wavey) get shit for a lot.

Slut shaming and the reverse (prude shaming?) are simply forms of bullying. No one needs to put up with any form of bullying. Speak out when it happens and put them on notice that you don't need any of that in your life. The gay community has fought too long and hard to get respect and equality from society. We don't need to be putting each other down for the various pleasures we enjoy.

I enjoy your serious (?) channel series on all things gay and would suggest suitable possible future interviews with experts (?) on the following subjects :- (1) "DIY (do it yourself) gay". I'm talking about the wide availability of on line pornography which can facilitate onerism or masterbation. I call it "sleeping with miss Kleenex". Advantages and disadvantages. Discuss. (2) "Future perfect". Maybe in the future gay men and women will be able to procreate without the need for intimacy with the opposite sex ? How will this affect society ? (3) "All that glitters may not be gay ?". To what extent did the excitement of indulging in this taboo behaviour fuel your attraction to being gay and with the increasing respectability of this lifestyle would you make the same choice today ?

I have no qualm with someone who is just honestly promiscuous and doing what they like. Good for them. But the ones who are promiscuous and lie/pretend that they aren't are fair game in my book. Especially if they are in a relationship and are completely deceiving the other person and playing on the dl. Or worse lieing about their status and playing mr innocent while at yhe same time playing unsafe and putting the community at risk. I feel like there are appropriate moments to call someone out on their shit and stamp that big red letter S where it deservedly belongs!

The whole culture around "slut shaming" is pretty much based in bullying and as such is equally bad. If you have concerns about safety and other good things, you'd have a proper conversation with the person about the issue, not call them names. I have to say, the title of the video is a most apt analogy that I did not think of before.

i disagree rj, it can be very difficult to not be judgy.that tendency can be very insidious and we may not personally catch when those moments come up. some of the obvious stuff is just that obvious but there are statements and moments where the negative judgement is more subtle and we can hold those particular beliefs for years without realizing that that is a dick thought.

It bothers me how people don't really consider sex work or working in that industry an actual talent and you're just doing "all that you're good for". Like, I think that would be a great talent to have lol and I mean you don't say that shit to movie actors/actresses. You wouldn't walk up to Tom Cruise and tell him in a condescending manner that the only thing he's good for is acting

Doesn't your title come from the line in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" "Don't dream it, be it" ? I think so and a better line I would suggest for sex and all things sublimely human. However I'm still mortal and need my weekly pornography fix so I'm afraid Miss Kleenex will be sharing my bed again tonight.
