Omy that smallie, you know what's going on with her is very relatable in the life of teenagers o. I tell you. You'll find yourself crushing on one uncle like that, by virtue of your living in their midst. It could be a family friend setting, or just like hers happened, a brother to a friend of your cousin, whom you live in same house with. He comes to visit, and the crush thing starts. If I must speak freely, I'll tell you it happened to me. Infact, my very first relationship was that kind of setting. Just like that, I got crushing, he (quite older, just like in this series), caught the vibes and somehow, we started dating. It was an exciting ride for me, while it lasted. So I can relate with that girl's setting so well. This guy was preparing for his nysc at the time, while I was still trying to get into Uni. Just so you see the age gap. Tho I didn't ask him out o or stuff like that, but I obviously was always excited whenever he's around, always wanted to stay around him by all means, most times I'd feign interest in the engineering projects he came home with, just so I can be around him. Always sneaking my way to him. Not for anything o, just to be around him. There were no kisses or what nots. Just the fondness, which I believe grew in him simultaneously. So by the time I entered uni, we were in touch, and we started dating proper. It was everything I ever wanted. I was sold out to him. He was too, or so it seemed. Oh well, uncle eventually broke my heart after how many years of the relationship....about 3yrs, cos I was in my 3rd year in Uni, while he had finished nysc from pH, and moved to work in Lagos. My uni was in Owerri. So ours was a distant relationship. (And he didn't graduate from my Uni). He was set to take a wife, and struggled with family interference, and had to give me up, without even letting me know what was going on. I knew this much after he has married and had kids, and was sorry...and sought me out to apologize and explain amidst tears of regrets. Then I was already working in Lagos. It was hard o, veeery hard. But I forgave him in the long run. 😅 What a touching story of my life. Ije love. So I can relate with what's going on with Tife in this series... (Hope I got her name).
