The bass is doing a lot, to the point where it almost doesn't flow, and takes away, instead of adding to. I think all that movement and skill would have been better used if saved for certain places where they build instead of just going in the entire time. It's almost like that singer that's got crazy vocals, but does 30 note runs on every phrase they sing.

Sounds awesome; however, church musicians are notorious for lacking balance when accompanying an ensemble or a lead singer. The choir is the priority unless there is a solo break (which in this case was also too loud)...musicians compete to be heard by each slightly turning up until all you hear is music and no WORD which is in the lyrics of the PSALMS. Great talent guys, but turn it down please.

Actually the phone placement is the reason for the muffled bass. If they sat the phone directly next to the bass player that caused the sound to be somewhat distorted.
