I'm more of a salt water soft plastics fisho...if you were targeting carp on plastics would you really focus on keeping it on the bottom? I'd imagine they wouldn't strike a swimming grub or minnow or am I wrong? Cheers
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, catching carp on a soft plastic isn't common. I've done it a few times, but it isn't frequent. Trout and redfin will hit the plastic as it swims in the open though.

Great stuff Robbie...I love a good feed of the old "English Perch" 😁...I am wondering if you guys are encouraged by the authorities to dispatch all redfin on capture over there like we are here in W.A as they are classed as a pest ??...Great tasting pests huh. Love your style of skinning them, slightly different to mine but extremely effective...the little fellas are great whole but nothing like a pile of easily sorted, boneless fillets to mung on when you can get onto the bigger ones... in my opinion ...Love your work, as always 👍😎👍
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan, thanks so much mate. Here, fisheries encourage us to kill them but there is no law that says we have to, despite what a lot of keyboard experts will tell you. Haha 🤣

Hiya rob I was surprised to see a carp take a soft lure ....not something you would see often here... then again these crazy carp anglers almost hand feed the things on our fisheries. So there spolit for choice....great presentation mate ... Thank you and best regards to the family 😎🇬🇧

Hey Robbie, i want to take my young bloke to Lake hume to chase some redfin. Can you recommend a place to go from off the bank? We're from Wagga so this side would be great. Loved your vid from my old town Urana too.. Cheers Brad
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brad, I absolutely love my time in Urana. Coming from Wagga, your best bet might be to try fishing at Bowna Reserve. I've only ever fished there once, and there was from a boat. I know that people catch a lot of fish there, and it will probably be the easiest spot for you too access coming from Wagga. Google "Bowna Waters reserve".
