I always think that when I watch PFI videos. Here in the UK at every rolling road I've ever taken a car to I've ended up working on it myself while they just watch and berate me for not preparing the car well enough. I remember a friend asking me why I was paying them so much money just so I could work on my own car in their building.

Set your "active hours" and windows will try not to update during work hours. Also don't just turn the updated off it can be important so just like a car service I would take it home and manually make it check for updates that night, Then let it do its thing that way its unlikely to do it next day.

5:53 - Go look up how to "defer upgrades" on win 10, you can do it for up to 2 months; add the dyno computers to some regular maintenance that has to be done around the shop and when you do that go tell them to look for updates. Not updating can obviously create some security holes but if the dyno PC's are used for just that it shouldn't be a huge worry. Can also look up how to disable the game overlay to stop the popup every once in a while a run finishes.

Hopefully someone can answer this for me, what's the advantage of Vtec kicking in on mid range RPM over say at idle. Is it the modulation of duration or the larger cam lobes that makes the difference? I understand the concept of VVT/Vtec
@povking14604 жыл бұрын
The longer duration/higher lift vtec cam would produce less torque at idle than at higher engine speeds due to less air velocity. A smaller/longer air path speeds up air flow and creates more torque at lower engine speeds. Essentially the vtec cam is too big at idle speed for a practical street engine.

Additionally if the gauge moves when unplugged or grounded and the fuse is good and the sensor is new/tests good is the thermostat good?
