John terrific comparison review! I really enjoyed this a lot. I am a huge fan of both although the Corryvreckan is my favourite of the two. Both have different qualities and I have a great sense of appreciation. Beautiful punches of peat! The UIG is also terrific. They open up in a lovely way! Cheers!

Thanks for tuning in Christine! I recently picked up an 2015 Corry but have only had a sample so far. Good but not as great as my memory of my 2018 bottle… which was sublime. Still Corry and Ugi offer great value compared to overpriced special releases. Cheers 🥃

Corryvreckan is the best scotch I have ever had. It tastes like burnt Goodyear tires, salt, vanilla, and tobacco with a dash of dark fruits. Simply stunning.

Yes indeed! It’s in my top 3-5 for sure. Cheers 🥃

Fantastic matchup. I had tried Lag 16, and Laphroaig 10. But when I had Ardbeg 10 it was a whole new world. My first glass I wasn’t sure if I liked it, reminded me of licking a smokebox. But quickly realized I loved it and kept going back. Tried the entire core range and was surprised I loved the Cory more then the Ugie which seemed to be most people’s choice. The oak barrels adds a great caramel refinement to a typical Ardbeg. But that 10 is absolutely perfect especially for the price at almost half the Cory. Great stuff, definitely some of my favorites and centerpieces in my collection. Cheers 🥃💨💨 (I’ve been eyeballing a 22 in the wild, it’d be the most I’d ever spent on a single bottle, not sure yet lol)

For me Corry over Ugie. I have the 22 & 23 unopened for retirement or very very special circumstance. I’ve heard they’re both sublime.

@@justwhisky very nice! I’d be surprised if they were anything but divine.

It’s kind of sad that in two years Ardbeg Corryvreckan is now $111 before tax. One regional liquor chain had a big sale and dropped the Ardbeg Corryvreckan down to $72. In only had money to buy 1 though. I’m going to wait for it to open up. Vs the 10 year the viscosity is much thicker to me and it is more tasty. Not double the current price tasty though.

Batch variations for sure in the Corry but still a great dram with high abv… but as you allude we still want value for money but still a lot cheaper than most Ardbeg special releases these days. Cheers 🥃

@@justwhisky How strange to you, Westerners, after you attained all this science and technology, and although you know that wine is harmful and harmful to human lives, you are still in this ignorance and you are still making wine...It seems that the Arab countries are in an enviable blessing.
