That "Harry Potter" door is indeed a "Harry Potter" door. It was introduced in 2001. The 90's and 80's castle doors were the vastly superior two-door pieces on hinges which looked a lot less childish ;) As for this set...I have never in my life seen a single episode of Spongebob. I saw the Musical on Broadway (awful) and that's as much as my knowledge of Spongebob goes beyond the memes. So I can't really judge the set 😅

I remember getting this set as a gift from my relatives and I loved it. I still have it intact after 10 years... Man, it's been long? Also, I remember back when this and and Flying Dutchman set came out I didn't think that they would be the last sets of the Lego SpongeBob line to be released and thought they would continue the theme, but was I wrong. Though hopefully maybe it could return one day.

As a kid I always wanted the Spongebob house sets or the krusty krab, I still never got those but at the time I did get Bikini Bottom Express, Glove World, and Krusty Krab Adventures. I remember being disappointed that the krusty krab sign went straight on top, i knew it was a different set of the same thing but I really liked the spongebob movie car! I may have even had Rocket Ride (because i remember the space suit minifigures) but i don't remember ever owning any other parts of that set. There were lego spongbob ads in the bonus menu of CFTKK on Gamecube, the ads really worked on me. And then I remember watching people at the time make LEGO content using these sets. Great stuff
