Junior 5’9 170 lbs
Miami WR Jeff Thomas looked to be a future college football star in his Freshman season, but then faced a lot of challenges. He was dismissed from the team, but then returned. His career just never took off like people expected, but he was still a nice playmaker for the Canes. At the NFL Combine, Thomas measured in smaller than expected, but still ran a pretty good 4.45 forty yard dash.

@@tyler3758 Those are definitely the two draftable talent guys in the UDFA group. I too think one of the WRs makes it. Maybe Thomas, maybe Will Hastings who has less pedigree but does have an elite skill (quicks). The other guys I'm curious about are Coe, DT Bill Murray, and the CB Myles Bryant. But those guys position groups are so stacked.

Everyone keep your pants on. It’s all about what they do in training camp. There’s 6 proven WRs on the roster but Bill will keep the best guys on the 53 regardless of draft status. I like this pick up along with Hastings, Zuber, and Riley. Realistically a couple of them could end up on the practice squad.

His off field issues. Mark Richt suspended him, he transferred to East Illinois but came back when Manny Diaz was named coach, and then proceeded to have problems with Manny Diaz after he gave him a 2nd chance. Guy had an attitude on a trash team. No UM fan wanted him to come back.

Great signing for NE. Has a good chance to make the roster with a mediocre receiver group as of now. Thomas is Philip Dorsett 2.0. Looks like him, plays like him, and comes from “THE U”!!! Real talk tho - could legitimately help Pats, especially on specials in the KR/PR game!
