If you had read the packaging you would have seen it is Alaskan pollock a much better fish than basa

I’ll have to try the vinegar in mushy peas whilst cooking…… I always add a half teaspoon of sugar and a little pat of butter in them….. yum!😊

You should get a food temperature probe to make sure food is cooked ie chicken, fish, all meats food in air fryer always looks cooked but are not keep safe

@@cazhiz2678 fish above 58c. Chicken 79c. Beef rare 60. Medium up to 71c. Well done above that. Lamb similar to beefs medium and well. Or in my home I use these approx temps,

If you are using the 2 pack of fish then for us the fish is big, \\\\\\\\i have the Tower with the rotating basket and the chips are lovely/ All in together and a spray or 2 of Frylight. we always have extra vege and serve it with a slice of lemon.

Has to be cod or haddock, Alaskan pollok is tasteless, saying that, we got catfish once offshore, no taste whatsoever and had the consistency of wallpaper paste

yeah,the fish looked disappointing. I would be quite happy with pollock if it was a nice solid chunk that you can peel off the flakes,but that sample definitely looked like a hand-me-down.Portion size is small at 125g a fillet too. I suppose for £2 a pair it would be quite a good meal for children,definitely a notch up from fish fingers, but certainly not a prime cut! I'll certainly give your hack of vinegar in the mushy's a try!

Pollock and saithe are fine.Perfectly nutritious and perfectly tasty.Very common in scandinavia for lunch or dinner where it's either steamed or breaded,and you basiaclly peel off what you intend to eat.Some peas and rosemary spudsto accompany,lovely! Just not sold on the scrag ends in the vid.

That fish did look poor, but having watched your vids I think you should really look at the ingredients in the shop or online, before you buy, saves the disappointment of expecting cod & getting pollock. If you want a good bit of frozen cod in batter, try the Harry Ramsden range from Iceland, but they are not cheap. As you found, you get you pay for is often true, there are exceptions of course Heinz soup being one of them

Your missing a trick here Deano as January is Vegan month and we are nearly half way through and nothing,even though I’m a vegetarian I enjoy your videos but it seems like your not interested in us, ok you’ve done the odd one or two vegan/ vegetarian videos but not nearly enough and judging by your next weeks line up January will be over without a single vegan/vegetarian video.
