On the point of giving up control, it’s definitely an illusion that we think we have control in the first place. I think as people who exist in this world we are subjected to the world and it’s only through Jesus, who has control over this world and everything else that we get control. So surrendering to Him, is having access to more control . Think about how we give in to worldly pleasures when in the world. To all the self destructive desires and actions that we give into (smoking, etc) and it’s only through Jesus that we have the strength to overcome those things and not do them. Sometimes He takes away those desires entirely, giving us more control. I went and wrote a whole paragraph, sorry y’all 😂 Saying all this to say if you think about it, surrendering to God gives you control than taking it. Thank God for this knowledge 🙌🏾
