I felt the same way about Bose for many years. I avoided purchasing anything from Bose because most of the time you pay too much for their products. But that changed during Black Friday weekend 2022 when I found the complete Bose line-up on display at Best Buy where you could listen to music on each speaker. When I got to the Flex, I was amazed at the sound quality - especially for the price. It was now on my radar. I went home and read and watched several reviews of the Flex, all those reviews confirmed what I thought. I bought the speaker the next day. Almost 2 years later I still use it regularly because it still sounds damn great. I also pair the Flex up with another older Bose speaker for stereo mode. I am seriously thinking about picking up a Flex 2 sometime soon, so I can pair both Flex speakers together.

what would you say to choose between bose gen 2 and beats pill (bass/sound)
@troykmАй бұрын
I have both the first and second gen speakers. The biggest improvement for me is TWS. The OG flexes don't really do stereo well. I think it's Boses own attempt at making it work. The second gen ones with 5.3 and a much better chipset do stereo perfectly. It's far superior and simpler to set up vs the originals. The sound quality has been refined quite a bit on the new ones too. The bass is tighter, the mids a little warmer and the treble is much smoother. I found the treble on the original quite "crunchy" sometimes. The 2nd gen are perfect.

hey man! just saw your comment and wanted to give you a heads up that you can´t pair gen 2 with a gen 1 due to two using different apps.
@troykm16 күн бұрын
@ I know that. I didn't say you could.
@Graydonut15 күн бұрын
@@troykm I think I get where the confusion is coming from. You saying you have speakers from both gens could be interpreted as only having 1 from each generation. However, you are saying the stereo has improved between the 1st and 2nd gen. Do you have a total of 4 Flex speakers? 2 from first gen and 2 from second gen?
@troykm15 күн бұрын
@ I have 10. 6 first gen, 4 second. I have one of each colour😂
@Graydonut15 күн бұрын
@@troykm If I'm mostly looking to do stereo, is gen 1 no longer worth it? I found a couple used gen 1s for about half the price of new gen 2s - even with black friday sales.

Bose has definitely stepped their game up in the bluetooth speaker department with adding an equalizer on their latest lineups. I have that with the Soundlink Max and I love it.

@@NewStuffTV2 For the price, it's not. For the size, it's the best. It's hard to compare because there's always two ways to look at it: best quality per buck or best quality per weight/volume. I'd say it wins very strongly the latter but loses tremendously in the first one. It's RIDICULOUSLY expensive.

Hey Antwan, I think you’ll be very impressed with two Bose Soundlink Maxes. Key is to set the EQ’s just right. I have my bass about 6/7 same with mids and treble. Party mode with two maxes gives the sound more power. Stereo mode w/ L & R sounds good too

Can you test the battery life of the Bose SoundLink Max? I've played it for 2 hours at 80% volume and somehow lost half the battery life. Another reviewer did it at 90% for 2 hours and lost 60%. This battery life is a complete deal-breaker for portability considering it takes 5 hours to charge it.
