I got the SW3 with the HTA 7000 and the RS3 speakers with my 65 A95L as the center channel. Just completed the setup today. It’s fantastic. I live in an apartment and from doing a deep dive on the 2 Subs an SW5 to be experienced correctly would overwhelm an apartment. Comments I had looked at said the SW3 is punchier low end and the SW5 doesn’t come alive until you push it.

I have the SW5 that I got with the HT A9. Got them both for Christmas so it's been a couple months now. Once it's integrated or tuned with the speakers it sounds pretty good. Turning the bass up to max don't work to well in my space so I set it between 7-9 to get the best integration.

I got the 7000 and the RS5s for a large room with wood flooring and went with the SW3 and at level 10 it’s all I need. I also upgraded to the X93L and using the S center channel to use the TV to enhance the center channel and that made as big a difference to the sound as the sub.

Dude! I had the chance to to buy the sw3 but I needed the BooM because I am a movie buff. Also with the sw5 I can lower/pump up the sw5 for more boom. I took the Sony HT-A9 with the sw5 sub. Did not regret not getting the sw3 sub. Vudu movies sound great on Dolby Atmos & 4K/UHD blueray disc sounds awesome & clear without drowning clarity in voice from the center channel.

Won’t hear anything new watching the same movie with different speakers. Watching the movie with different location another room setup might work. I just upgraded my Sony to the same system you got about to watch that video. I had the older model CT-800 that came with a sub and I bought sep surround. Now I can place the old one in a diff pad. (Lucky me got two cribs). The older surround I’m placing them under kitchen counter they are Bluetooth, link, hdmi arc. The older surround have an after life. The surrounds I’m talking about if u want to look them up is the SRS-ZR5. They were sold as singles if you bought them as pairs there’s a discount. The new RS5 may not have an afterlife so easily unless Sony comes up with activating Bluetooth if it’s hidden that’s just my take. Nice channel Cuz !!😊

In the showroom, I was lucky enough to test the HTA9 with the SW3 and SW5 and I liked the low end rumble of the sw5, which helped me in my buying decision.

Someone keeps asking whether you can connect two subs. The answer is no. Two bad though the SW5 will bottom out on some tracks. With Sonos and Nakamichi taking over as king of the hill two subs would help in certain situations.

Thabls for watching! The sound from the sub is supposed to bounce off of the walls and create an effect of it being "everywhere." My advice is to get the SW3 and try out different positions in the room. Try all four corners, front middle and rear middle. Which ever position gives you the best feeling and sound is where that bad boy belongs. 👊🏾

You have to use it with a supporting soundbar such as HT-A3000, A5000, A7000, Theater Bar 8, or Theater Bar 9
