Me for sure, but growing up in Devon, the build up would've been a tense drive to the airport. My dad would've been cruising up in his clapped out of price of shit Mercedes, threatening to turn the car around, beat me, dash the haribo out the window etc. Good times. I literally can't travel with my parents. In Nigeria if you don't want to do something or if something would be bothersome, you simply pay someone else to do it or have your family member help you get a shortcut or a work around. My parents can't navigate airports, crowded markets or read general directions, they always try to get other people to do it which I guess I understand in Nigeria, but they've lived in the US for over 30 years and it doesn't work that way here, nor has it ever. They never come visit me because I would have to fly home, pick them up from their house, take them to the airport, escort them to a hotel (I stay in a 1 bed efficiency) and generally do everything for them when they are with me. The expectation when they visit a place is not to lift a finger. I grew up in the US my whole life and just can't relate to that part of the culture mostly because I've never been on the receiving end of that and most of my friends who aren't African can't understand it either
