One OCI student joined Panimalar last year, College asked her to submit Nativity certificate ( by resident). Parents took some effort to get the Nativity ( By resident) certificate and submitted.

I am a sea farer and maintaining NRI status. My daughter has studied in TN school. Which documents i need to produce to prove as NRI. Is our CDC( Continous Discharge Certificate) issued by Govt of India, accepted ?

I have not come across any sea farers before. So, I am unable to advice. I just checked the Anna University prospectus. It's mentioned CDC as proof of NRI status. But, nothing is stated in the medical prospectus. So, it's better to check with the Selection Committee.

#1: Obtained PIO/ OCI status prior to March 2021 #2: Studied in TN from 6-12 std If he fulfills the above two criteria, he is eligible for TN state quota seats as an unreserved candidate.

For NRI seats, you do not need to be a native of TN. Any one who cleared NEET can apply. You do not need a nativity certificate, community certificate and eligibility certificate.

@@pktsam2000 it's not a reservation. Private colleges are allowed to allot MAXIMUM 15% of their seats to NRIs. It's up to the college to decide how many seats to allot for NRIs.
