I went through the Court's Judgement. The Student was very lucky. This will lead to many such students to get Nativity of TN. However, earlier there were many contradictory judgements by High courts which were challenged before Supreme court. Even the High court gave wrong judgements. Many Tahsildars do not aware of such judgements and simply reject the Nativity. They should be punished as they play with the life of students. I know many Students could not pursue MBBS in TN due to wrong rejections by Tahsildars. I have a collection of all Judgements of Nativity since 2016.

There are mixed judgements, I agree. But, in many similar cases, nativity certificate has been issued. In one case, nativity was rejected when the candidate has lived in another state for his entire life. But, in that case, the candidate was able to claim domicile of another state.

We faced the same problem in Tirunelveli They rejected 3 times We showed this G.O. All the officials told its in another taluk. Not in our area. 1 year we r trying. We fedup

Sir - what about OCIs? Parents of Indian origin becomes foreign citizen while working in foreign country and kid born abroad. Parents move back to India permanently 2 years back and kid studies 11, 12th in India? Is 2 years stay enough? Can they get Nativity Certificate as now OCIs can apply for government colleges due to the recent SC judgement? Please advise.

Sir I was born in AP and my parents was also born in Andhra but i have nativity ration card of TN and my voting right is in TN but i have come under OC but my family was settled in chennai for past 67 years all my family members are pakka Telugu people but we know Tamil by speaking and writing Tamil and settled in Tamil my mom studied in govt Tamil med school , but in mbbs counseling 2021 i was applied in Telugu minority quota and i got admission in dhanalakshmi srinivas med clg but they rejected my admission because of my community certificate is from AP but my mom also completed degree in Madras University and i also done my scholling in TN and i also have nativity certificate but in AP i don't have ration card and can they considered as Tamil Nadu native

There is lots of confusion around the definition of nativity. Unfortunately, you are not considered as a native of TN as your parents are not from TN. For Telugu minority quota, you should be a native of TN. The story in the video is slightly different; here the parents and grandparents are from TN.

Its not just being born in TN; as you can see in the Court case discussed in the video, you should have roots in TN. Nativity comes from the roots, not just by living in a place. However, nativity is not a clearly defined subject, we do not know how long we should live in a place to become a native of that place.

You can apply nativity by birth if you are a native of TN. The following documents are needed: 1. Photo 2. Any Address Proof (preferably ration card & Aadhaar) 3. Birth Certificate 4. School Education Certificate(or) Employment Details(or)other proof to prove continuous residence of 5 years (if you don't have this, ignore this) 5. Self-Declaration of Applicant Please also check with the nearby eseva center for more details.

Sir, Query related to Nativity certificate during counselling, Is it students Nativity certificate (born in TM) applying from Karnataka or Parents Nativity documents need to be submitted, incase parents certificates (Aadhar, Ration card, Driving license) belongs to other state will be accepted.

Sir, In other state only General quota using domicile. However my daughter born in TN and parents as well born and parent completed education in TN and comes under BC category. So planning to apply in our TN state. We have Ration card, home in TN except Aadhaar & voter ID which is from other state is the reason. Hoping these documents works to apply TN counselling under BC quota.

You still have two years to go. It is better to get it closer to the admission time. You can get it once she starts 12th std.

Sir I was born in Tamildude. But due to my father's work we moved to Kerala. And I started and completed my school studies in Kerala only. But now I was very worried about the nativity certificate for NEET UG exam 2023. My father got retired from his job around 2018. But we are still living in Kerala for some medical treatment. Will I also be able to get the certificate as the same case said in this video? I was really getting mad thinking about the certificate. I case is very similar to what you said. Please reply 🙏

You have lived your entire life in Kerala. Why not get admission in Kerala? In such cases, nativity of TN has been rejected by High Court. @@JustGetMBBS no sir I have reservation, but in Kerala I can't claim it according to the kerala government rules. Both my parents studied in Tamildude and my grandparents still reside in Chennai. If my father gets nativity certificate in Tamildude, will it be of any use to me to get my certificate with reference to his certificate? Or is there any other way ? I am again worried sir. @@swathi5706 Two years back i face same experience. My friend serving in defence. His total service was in North India. His daughter's entire study was in Delhi and Chandigarh. But both father and mother have Tamil Nadu school certificate, Tamil Nadu Nativity certificate, Tamil Nadu community certificate. His daughter apply for community reservation in TN. She got it. One important condition. You don't apply other states and AIQ and TN simultaneously. They check seriously because doubling is serious issue. Apply only TN counseling. They will consider.

@@AdvDuraisingam Don't apply for government quota in two states, claiming nativity/ domicile in two states. However, you are free to apply to management quota in any number of states. Similarly, there is no restriction in applying to AIQ.

Sir both me and my wife born, schooling, colleges all in Tamilnadu. we moved to Karnataka 20 years back. But we want to move back to Tamilnadu and try getting admission for my daughter in TN quota this year but we don't have smart card(ration card) and my kid born and studied in Karnataka. All our proofs are in Karnataka. My kids grand parents are living in Tamilnadu only. Will she get Nativity Certificate in Tamil Nadu?

Why don't you try admission in Karnataka? Your case is not like NRIs who don't have any affiliated state. But, you can get domicile in Karnataka. NRIs - they are natives of India, but living overseas.

You can apply as Indian as well as NRI. Depending on the marks you can claim either Govt or NRI Quota. You need to get Nativity certificate either by Birth or by residence.

What will be the fee structure for this candidate? Will it be as in government or private self financing or deemed or NRI FEES respectively?or just because he is an overseas Indian he will pay more? Please clarify sir.

@@ganajo31 depends on the category under which you get a seat. If you get a seat under government quota, you will pay government quota fees. If you get a seat under management quota, you will pay management quota fees. If you get a seat under NRI quota, you will pay NRI quota fees. Just because you are an OCI, you will not be charged differently.
