Every year, we humans bury hundreds of millions of tonnes of non-recyclable trash in landfill sites all over the world, with all the energy use, greenhouse gas emissions and local ecosystem impacts that we all hear so much about in the news these days. Fewer emissions, less waste AND less mining! What's not to like?
