Well met again, Ruined. We spoke about this during and after this encounter, which you decided to basically tell me to get bent. This idea of "delivering justice" is an arbitrary falsity at best, and in this case, egregiously lying considering you knew the circumstances of this whole ordeal. Allow me to enlighten your viewers and give a little perspective to the one sided picture the hero of this journey is painting. I happened upon a corrupted player in route to home from my own adventures, and killed a user name Bow. He messaged me and asked for his gear back and explained that him and his group were just trying to exp but were constantly getting trained by a griefer and had corruption from killing him so many times. I agreed, returned his gear, and went to help him and his friends stay clear of the training. I happened upon the griefer, killed him and was corrupted. You happen to be there and take advantage of me being corrupted. Perfectly fine, as that is the intention of the system. So you attacked, and lost, attacked again and won after having to fight someone with corruption twice over. You looted my gear and I told you the situation, to which you didn't respond. Nice to see you showed in this video how you took it upon yourself to go and kill the group I was helping as well, knowing they were there after we spoke. Not mighty heroic of you. So I decided to come back to fight you again, even with the corruption, but I couldn't attack you. I don't know how much you PvP, but when a fight goes on for 20 seconds, and you have taken no damage, there is obviously a clear bug/glitch that is occurring. Glad you were so glad to take advantage of that. I messaged you again and told you that I wasn't the griefing party, and I was corrupted trying to help the lower levels just be able to work off their corruption. That didn't matter to you. I will say that this encountered showcased some major issues with the Corruption System. All of which I have thoroughly laid out in feedback on the forums to move towards fixing Ashes of Creation as a whole. For this encounter, I hope the community realizes that every corrupted player you run into isn't the bad guy, at least in the current state of the corruption system. Some of us are out here fighting the good fight for others. I do enjoy getting to hear the name calling and bragging you did on your end though. Glad you enjoyed it. Happy testing. - Shank

Everything isn't always as it seems... Just like the world we live in... Also, I think they need to make it some sort of Grieffing system, not a corruption based system. The corruption is implemented to prevent if not decrease the grieffing, but honestly isn't working as good as it sounds on paper.

You do realize with the corruption system and people training in highwayman hills, that you have to take corruption to stop griefers right? For all you know they were trying to stop griefers and you're the bad guy in their story...

Use form of Celerity for PvP. overpower proc stagger, hamstring procs a trip, guarantees you to land your main which does 20% more damage to tripped targets then you can trip them again if they are not dead

killing someone who can't fight you back isn't much of a W. literally stalking him while he's just trying to grind off corruption is so lame. flag up and pvp like a man :)

corrupted drops their set? dam those are some serious consequences. And he's still red even after he dies? Doesn't that mean you can camp them until they're naked? Isn't that bad?

Its a pvp system based on Lineage 2. Basically if u kill unflagged players u get karma points (corruption) which can be removed only by killing mobs or dying but depending on the points you have, 1 death might not be enough

currently corruption is very very overtuned. Its not intended to be this punishing. Depending on how much corruption you accumulated, you will drop more loot, depending on how much corruption you accumulated, you will have to be killed/grind more to get rid of it. Dying/Grinding reduces your corruption.

@@warthgaming9068 From what Steven has said, it's not overtuned. He's been increasing the consequences because people keep trying to find ways around the system so he said he'll make it harder till it workes. I doubt it will stay this way though.
@krayte51202 күн бұрын
@@vesteroth7754 What's overtuned is the use of corruption to act as a shield to prevent pvp. If someones training mobs, you have to take corruption to kill them and stop the griefing. Once you have it, people don't have to flag to fight you... meaning if you kill them, you take more corruption. If they fixed mob agro and force flagging when engaging a corrupt player, it'd be fine, then at least a corrupt player can defend themselves.

@@vesteroth7754 from what steven has said, it is overtuned thanks for most of the systems associated with it not being online. Like respawn protection, bounty hunters, blight, low level protection, combat free zones, guards in towns etc. Balancing of the corruption system was never a focus of Phase 1, thats gonna happen in a later phase, right now its all about server stability, networking etc.
