Snyder treated this Superman with an arc In Man of Steel he isn’t the Superman we know and love but that’s part of the narrative he’s a rookie when zods army comes to earth and still manages to save the planet, and the planet is divided some believe Superman is a beacon of hope and the others believe he’s just an alien that doesn’t belong here and Clark struggles with this in BVS. His arc is a lot like Jesus some believe he was son of god a savior and some believed he wasn’t and they crucified him, In BVS he sacrifices himself to save the planet and in his death people realized what he stood for doing the right thing. The "interrogation" scene Black Widow had with Loki in The Avengers movie made me scratch my head on how lame it was; I understand why they did it - you have a generic non-super human with no meta powers who they need to utilise somehow because #feminism so they show her cool, super abilities to draw out information from the enemy. LAME. It was so obvious and phoned-in, that it's always my go-to argument against my friends and hubby on how LAME EACH FRANCHISE CAN BE WITH THEIR LAME FORCED MOMENTS and their LAME-ASS NON-THREATENING VILLAINS (Loki, that Transformers' wannabe Thanos; that hipster clone Luther). The only villain that has ever made me scared for any heroes was the Terminator and Alien.

Just saw JusticeLeauge I went into this film w/ literally NO EXPECTATIONS & NO EXCITEMENT/HYPE, due to critics/reviews & the last few DC films Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad literally made me Angry & are crap films to me. Honestly I think that helped a bit cause honestly I didn't mind the film all that much. Of course there were a few scenes that made me go hmm 🤔😐like all the Crap CGI & some stupid plot points but if I’m keeping it 💯 I wasn’t Mind blowingly bored like I was in BvS & Suicide Squad so that’s a Plus to me. & I did enjoy seeing everyone team up in live action. I was on the verge of giving it a High DoubleToasted/ Spill Rental. But there was that moment where they said “my fav quote” from a certain someone so I gave it a bump to matinee and all in all it wasnt great but it was fine/alright to me.

Poor writing and timeline management seem to be the reasons for most of these faults. The Batman that helped found the Justice League shouldn't of been the one from Frank Miller's books. He should've been closer to his prime. The only way I see to fix this is either more piss poor writing, or doing something interesting like bringing in Terry McGinnes as the new Batman with that sick Batman Beyond suit. Even that would be out of the proper timeline though, so I doubt it'll happen. As for Steppenwolf...he's truly just a warm-up for Darkseid. I highly doubt anyone gives a shit about or wanted to see Steppenwolf in live action. I'm really baffled as to why they chose him for a film of this magnitude. They basically made a blatant choice to handicap themselves. If they felt it was too soon for that powerhouse to step into the show, they could've just used the armies of Apokolips on Earth while using the rest of the time to introduce Darkseid on his homeworld and fill in some backstory about him, his world, and his goals. That probably would've helped the average viewer a lot.

My thoughts I posted on my fb page: Justice league is an average movie It felt like the combo of the best parts of Suicude Squad and Wonder Woman, but with a lot of heart and fun moments 😉 Wonder Woman - Badass of group 😏 Superman - don't piss him off, easily had best scene in movie (there aren't many) 😮 Cyborg - Good enough start 🙂 Flash - Fun socially award dude 🤪 Aquaman - Guy who talks to fish that knows how to use a giant fork 🍴 Villain = very weak. Similar to guy from Thor 2 🤢 Batman - Pretty overshadowed by other members tbh 😞 We really gotta thank Nolan for what great batman movies he gave us. Really doubt we'll see batman shown that great for years to come. Overall, this movie felt like it was saved by Joss Whedon. I'd hate to wonder what mess was planned originally. It really makes you appreciate what Marvel has worked hard to do for the past years. D.C. (and some Fox movies) has shown it clearly is NOT easy.🤔 p.s. Thor 3 was way better

It's an okay film. No offense to the hardcore D.C. fans and those that just enjoyed the film but there really are missed opportunities and some mistakes that actually carried over from the previous films. The CG villain is weak.Batman, after being hang up with his dead parents is now hang up with the loss of Superman. People prepare for Flashpoint reset button if this don't go well. >Thank God they got Superman right this time. He actually saved people and his power set was used accordingly. >Great portrayal of Wonder Woman but her solo movie is still much better. >Interesting character development on Cyborg. >Still preferred a humor-ish CSI mature version of Flash rather than a comedic newbie (should have saved this one for Shazam) >Should have incorporated more underwater battle for Aquaman ( final fight should have been set near a body of water) > Batman is weak in this movie; instead of being perceptive, calculating and creative when it comes to his decisions, he's all about bringing Superman back and forming JL as if this is his last ditch effort. that thing you mention about they focussing in just the one family..i don't know if you catched this, but the whole city was supposed to be mostly abandoned. they explained how it had been a nuclear powerplant explotion there leaving the whole area off limits to regular civilans..only squaters seem to be there since they had not option..so is not a Avengers saving New york type situation. maybe they felt that basically 1 family was representing of the human factor since mostly they were all like homeless persons. in fact supes saved a building full. but then nothing else was shown in regards to bystanders..all the other building were empty i think

Yay, it didn't suck! I will still wait for that extended edition though. Enough of this practice of having the audience pay to watch a semi-complete version in theaters, only to release a 'director's cut' edition (that it is 'supposed' to explain a lot of things that didn't make sense) a few months later and have people pay again.

Like honestly it couldve made more sense for Ares to be the villain for justice league because they set him up in the wonder woman movie. As great as it was to see Diana overpower Ares at the end of her movie, he shouldn't have died =/ but still was badass to see diana toy with Ares like that

I never thought I’d be so overjoyed to see Superman return in a film, but him coming back in this film was fucking awesome! Overall, the film was pretty good - a little OTT with some of the humor and some shoddy CGI, but when it works, it totally works.

I love this movie. It was a great time happy to see my childhood hero come to life. It's a great movie have minor issues editing issues in the beginning parts of the plot was a bit messy. But all the heroes are great and fun

In my opinion though Snyder is way better for what the DCEU needed to be. It needed to be it's own entity separate from the MCU. MOS, BvS, and Wonder Woman were great. Suicide Squad was meh and justice league felt like a 2 hour super friends episode. I think Whedon screwed the pooch by trying to inject marvel into DC.

Stephenwolf is a precursor to darkseid and apocalypse. He’s not going the real threat. There’s more coming most likely. It sounds like this movie needed to be like 2:20 or so, not 1:55 or so. From what every reviewer is saying, it would actually benefit from adding back some missing character development or plot moving scenes. I guess I’ll form my own opinion when I see it tomorrow

Superman is fixed. Batman took a step back to ass territory and flash sucked. Diana took a step back from her solo movie but she was the same as bvs is almost like they didn’t watch WW. I like the movie though. Wouldn’t mind watching again and def is worth several Netflix watches. I’d give it a matinee.

For me being a big fan of Michael Keaton's Batman, and the animated series. The theme always made Batman movies and shows what they are. I like the Dark Knight trilogy, but it didn't really have a catchy theme. Like past movies.
