I really am sad they didn't have JNR in the sequel. Jaune having the trauma from the everafter would have definitely been a plot point if he and Jessica ever saw each other. Seeing as Jaune helped her with her anxiety I could definitely see it happening in the reverse with Jessica using his advice to help our Rusted Knight out.

Everytime I watch Jess I think to myself ‘this is what the show was missing’ Oscar was vital to the plot yet felt empty Ruby felt she had no one to talk to about serious issues except probably Jaune Jaune was dealing with a cavalcade of inner turmoil that never had real catharsis. The direction for these characters were so ‘everywhere’ that nothing anchored them to the plot until the big baddie. Jess, or at least her writing, could’ve fixed this. For example, what if Oscar was written to be like Jess; an anxiety having kid who suddenly had this huge destiny to her? It would’ve given Jaune an emotional support/mentor role. Oscar would develop as Oz slowly transferred to her; all while she suffers greatly from his crippling anxiety and identity crisis. Ruby would have someone to talk to emotionally and relate to since they’re the same age and are socially awkward unlike their teams.

...Personally, I still think it would've been better if they just used the younger superheroes get isekaid to Remnant rather than the League, you know? They could've put in Young Justice, or The Teen Titans and that would've fit a lot better because they're already teenagers. Hell, they could've put in Teen Heroes that aren't in a team and have them work together! Have it have heroes like Blue Beetle, Captain Marvel, and Static Shock And have a B plot about some rando with no semblance discover/stumble upon a Green Lantern Ring and become Remnants first Green Lantern!

Her role in the comics was great. The back story was epic. Feel like they could make a whole series just off that premise. (Teen Justice league.) Lantern could be a whole thing its self. So could Wonder Woman. The story are deep and really cool.

Really loved Jessica in Remnant. I've actually honestly always hated her as a Green Lantern - her anxiety and fear never seemed to fit the mold of a Green Lantern. A yellow, maybe, but not green. But in Remnant where her powers aren't tied to her ring or the Guardians, this aspect of her character makes a lot more sense and we get a great story with her and Jaune. Not to mention I really love her RWBY-style design compared to her DC one. Really hoping we get to see JNR in part 3 and see how they all interact at the end of everything.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like her adult design? Like I get that all Green Lanterns have a set colour scheme and uniform but her kid design was just so much more interesting and you lose pretty much all of the fun elements from the spunky hairstyle and ahoge, the fingerless gloves, shoes and layered jacket and clothing, thw green undertones in her hair that glow on occasion, there's none of that in the adult form. And for being an adult, and overcoming her anxiety and inner conflict the design and hair is just so bland. It's one layer and one colour everywhere, and feels incomplete, it doesn’t really show Jessica's growth and how she needed that to unlock her full power. The model itself honestly looks unrendered and like a blob of slime flying around on screen. Her kid design feels more "final form" than anything.
