im guessing that the akai MPD24 triggers the ableton cause im pretty sure you cant midi the djm800 to ableton. so gaspard is picking the songs while xavier is doing the EQs, some affects and the crossfading(if any) correct me if wrong but think something close to that is happening

to make their albums they just use Logic Studio and Garageband. In another interview they said they have a big studio but they only use their computer. the pad they're using in this video is an Akai MPD 24 and they were probably using ableton to mix. Daft Punk also used Ableton for Alive 2007
