Throwing a phone is not the epitome of all evil. There are two sides to every story, I watched a documentary where the PA who had the phone thrown at her was trash talking Naomi and my question was what did she do to wind Naomi up to that extent? We all know there's no smoke without fire. She obviously didn't mention her fault but apparently she was stealing from Naomi. This interview was ill-mannered on Barbara's part. Naomi offered many moments of vulnerability which Barbara attempted to reframe as problematic and angry. For instance, she asked Naomi what she believed made the fashion industry praise her so much. When Naomi speculated that it could be her independence, Barbara said "wild" and "untamed". Girl, what? The production is also largely at fault. The editing and subtle timing created a misrepresentation of Naomi's trauma, triumph, and subsequent psychological defenses. She presented herself amazingly in this interview, shame on ABC (as always lol).

I think it says something about Naomi's character that through all of the shit she's been through - self inflicted or otherwise - she still has all of the same people around her that she did when her career started. Drug addiction and anger management issues haven't effected her friendship with the Versaces, Valentino&Giancarlo, Andre Leon Talley, Steven Meisel, all of her fellow OG supermodels, Franca Sozzani, Karl Lagerfeld, Carlyne cerf de Dudzeele, Azzedine Alaia, Dolce & Gabbana, John Galliano, Pat McGrath, Edward Enninful etc.. all were there at the start and are still as close with her as ever. There must be something totally magical about her when you know her personally.

Gosh! She is so stunningly beautiful with a beautiful skin color. (To me she seems very sweet). Geez! People are always trying to sue people. It seems like once you become known for an incident, you become an ongoing target where people try to get money from you because they feel most people will believe them because you did it before to someone else. That lady isn't small and looks like she can definitely defend herself from Naomi. Really, she was thrown against a wall!!! She more and likely did try to extort money from Naomi. If that lady has bruises, she probably did it to herself or had someone else do it to her so she could falsely file charges against Naomi and told them she would give them a cut of the money afterwards... I hope that lady goes to jail and would have to pay Naomi for filing false charges. Teach people a lesson, Naomi, and turn around and SUE her big time!!! Then maybe she will be the last person to try and extort money from you. Stay as lovely and sweet as you appear to be! Please stop saying you want to be known as a "Bitch". You are not a Bitch!. I will definitely remember you as a, " Tough Woman" no a "Tough Kick Ass Woman!" That's how I would describe you to my future daughter.

true but what has naomi did or say that hasn't been done by other models or celebrities in terms of having a temper?? bjork literally brawled a reporter at an airport but i dont see the media portraying her having a temper, kate moss was caught in the act of doing coke but where is the crack addict narrative??! i'm not excusing her behavior of course what she did to that assistant was awful (and she has paid for its consequence btw) but why is it so difficult for us to let go of that image of naomi who has temper like it's been a decade honestly
@simondominic85107 жыл бұрын
that maid/assistant incident was one time, the other thing was not even proven or at least she denied it, the airplane incident was justified for me due to privacy concerns. yeah but no publication or article brings up that airport incident over and over again every time bjork is on the news. meanwhile, 10 or so years later whenever naomi does something that incident with the assistant always comes up or something along the line of known for having a temper. it's as if that incident defined her despite her other endeavors like fashion for relief, her work with nelson mandela or her achievements as model in an industry where dark skinned models are frowned upon. y'all just could never forgive naomi and i wonder why that is.

Hopefully she's better now, but there's a difference between being "bossy" and "standing your ground and not letting people step over you" and being violent and abusive towards other people.

@@jessicapeterson3962 She's never had a nose job; stop making things up. At 15 the nose and other features doesn't look the same as it does at 20something or 30 with most people. I had a baby face and button nose as child & teens. It's completely different and more narrow as an Adult. And you all always forget about makeup contouring and highlighting of the nose, cheek and face.
