He doesn't dare finish the song since the protagonist is a villain. She suckered a kid with sex and wild tales to join her. It didn't work out of course- he was just a kid- She atones by telling him he should take his fast car and get away from her loser situation and maybe be someone she sure isn't going to be anyone. Poor kids. loser mom and now a dad who takes off. The kid is not to blame -She's to blame for messing up his life.

For those of you curious as to why it sounds like a double effect, it’s because the acoustic guitar mic is picking up his voice as well. However his vocal mic has live pitch correction on it and the acoustic mic obviously has no pitch correction. Micaela Clifford Yes because Media try sometimes to make you thinks he is bad etc...but I think he is a good person with a lot of talent and not saying that only cause I'm a beliber. Media should let him breathe a little bit and this is the same for Taylor Swift media are saying a girl who sings about her excess etc...but they should see how talented she is!

it's called real time auto tune, it does a slight slap delay so it has time to tune it and they have ti turned up loud. It masks a lot of mistakes, but you still have to be able to sing decent. It's not like studio auto tune.

You got a fast car I want a ticket to anywhere Maybe we can make a deal Maybe together we can get somewhere Any place is better Starting from zero got nothing to lose Maybe we'll make something Me, myself, I got nothing to prove See, my old man's got a problem He live with the bottle, that's the way it is He says his body's too old for working His body's too young to look like his My mama went off and left him She wanted more the life than he could give I said somebody's got to take care of him So I quit school and that's what I did So I remember we were driving, driving in your car Speed so fast felt like I was drunk City lights lay out before And your arm just wrapped 'round my shoulder And I-I had a feeling that I belonged I-I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

@piperpilot266 жыл бұрын
Not really that talented. He's the McDonalds of music. Generic. Over sold. Mass produced. No amount of haircuts or tattoos will change that. His rise to fame was based solely of his looks. His "Talent" was manufactured by a whole host of producers, marketers, P.R. specialists and funded by a label that's main focus is to sell as many "Records" as possible. You see, when you're physically attracted to someone, they can do no wrong, and their talent seems to be a thousand times better than it actually is. Try listening to music instead of watching music. You'll soon learn the difference between talent and smoke and mirrors.
@taelicious43266 жыл бұрын
Shaun Daskam actually when you’re “physically attracted to someone.” They can do wrong. Everyone has different opinions about things so just leave it.

It's a matter of taste I suppose. This is why fast food chains and pop music still exist.

It's not auto-tuned, it's double vocal tracked. Very strange, he's good enough to have just dropped a take live.
@jamesryan54365 жыл бұрын
Isn't it much the same though . That he didn't just come out and shoot it dead in 1 take . It's a pity because he has some talent but this kind of messing with a classic isn't any good
@jamesryan54365 жыл бұрын
@Grant either or . It's not a good cover for whatever reason and as an artist he should have called the shots on it
@aloeup21215 жыл бұрын
James Ryan no, it’s not the same. Auto tune bends the notes up/down to be “in key”. This effect is merely doubling his voice. It’s not changing the notes pitch. But I agree, it’s being used as a “crutch”
@jamesryan54365 жыл бұрын
@@aloeup2121 I know what auto tune is . What I should have said was . He could have just recorded a straight track with his vocals and guitar an honest recording but he didn't and all though it's not auto tuned it's still not as honest or good as the original . But he can actually sing

Drawing from personal experience??? Hardly. He's never had to struggle with putting food on the table. The lyrics in Chapman's song in no way applies to Justin's life.
@ba98982 жыл бұрын
I like the way his singing of this song comes out as a respectful tribute (closest word I can think of) to the song and Tracy Chapman, rather than just a full-on cover. It moved me.
