To 1gregoryknight: Let's say I'm a devout Christian whose 4-year-old daughter is in a children's hospital, suffering from cancer with a remaining life expectancy of 6 months. Aside from the impossibility of counting this a blessing, I'm being urged to praise Jesus Christ? What for? And what's with the biblical claim that the "Dear Lord" reserves a special love for "the little children?"

Perhaps, your supposed daughter is suffering because of your sin (your family s sin and so on ). So, the first step for you is to ask forgiveness from the Lord, and the second, to ask Him to heal her...with all your heart. One more thing....TRY asking Virgin Mary too.....She is the best Lawyer Lady ( counsellor) we, people, have there, in Heaven and she will listen to you faster than you can think and will tell to her lovely Son your pain, asking for mercy. May God open your heart and allow you to see his Eternal Goodness.
