Great reaction! And yeah, a lot of his purpose album talks about depression and religion, he’s pretty outspoken these days about his faith and how it saved him, so when you listen to some of the songs like this you can kinda find those aspects to it as well.

Yes he was with Selena they were on and off for almost a DECADE lol, many of his songs were written for her and about her (almost all of the songs from his 2013 albun Journals and even some songs from Purpose) and she wrote a lot of songs about him too, "The Heart Wants What it Wants", "Love Will Remember", etc etc, they dated in 2011 then they broke up in 2013 (or 2014) then they came back, then broke up lol and it was like that until when they broke up for the last time in 2018, he wanted to merry her but she wasn't ready for that yet and her mom didn't like him with her due to some mistakes he made in the past, so she said no, she didn't break up with him but she asked for some time to herself, he couldn't accept it then 2 months later he got merried with Hailey, in Selena's song "Lose You To Love Me" from her 2020 album "Rare" she even sings "in two months you replaced us", very emotional, you should react to some of her songs!!

not you lying to the man. they dated until 2012 and then only met to hook up multiple times a year (neither considered it a relationship). his only album about her is journals. purpose has like 2 songs about her but it also has a couple songs about hailey. the album is mostly about growth and his relationship with god. he NEVER proposed to her. there's zero proof of that.
