I love how well rounded this critique is. Like, actually pointing out the good stuff along with the bad. I think it's really mature and it also gives more weight to the arguments when it's clearly not a hate video or making exaggerated claims just to be controversial. I used to enjoy rant videos, but I find that the older I get, the more I appreciate balanced videos like this one over the overly praising or overly critical ones.

@@TheWSYNkatevy153 You're mistaking criticism for hate. The music is below average and I couldn't even get through the whole album because it was too boring. There's thousands of better artists out there who deserve to have their music listened to yet he has the privilege of fame and does nothing unique or interesting with it at all with his music. This is a common shower thought for me. Why is this normalized? Like we show this to young to children and just say “they won’t get the lyrics”. When I realized the songs I heard on the radio as a young child and sang out loud were along the lines of this was upsetting. Until I really thought about it I was under the impression this was completely fine. I don’t think these types of songs should be as common or promoted.

Like there was a portugués song like 8 years ago that was mega popular and people would sing along just understanding a few words but it was about sex if i’m not wrong. and one time it was being played in my little sisters school at an event, told the teachers and they didn’t care. cringe that the kids were singing along to a chorus they didn’t know the language too and just say a few words they could kinda pronounce..

Available bugs me so much. Like yeah we can talk about yummy being a weird song to put out about your wife, but hear me out as to why available is worse. Hailey, in their little like series about their married life, orients most of her life around supporting Justin. Like making sure he does what he’s supposed to do for his health, staying up late to be in the studio with him, etc. She’s also a star? Like she models and needs to live her own successful life. Why the hell would you write a whole song saying like “you’re not here for ME enough 😫”? First of all, you’re wrong. Second of all, grow up and be supportive of your WIFE. And the line “you live in my bed.” ?????? What

The fact his old songs about selena sound and are lyrically more meaningful than his new songs about Hailey his actual wife... Very telling tbh. And the fact he only seems to write about sex and toxic aspects of their relationship like the be violent with me when you're stressed thing... Can he make it more clear? Nope Before he sang about love and even during purpose he sang about himself and love more genuinely. Now he sounds like he's trying to prove everyone that he has sex and loves his wife without saying much that is actually meaningful and loving. Not to mention that during purpose he was actively trying to change and be better even as a artist and that was during him still being into selena. Now he seems to have got stuck on his ways again. Doing lazy songs again and saying he's changing as an excuse to do wrong but not putting in the work anymore to actually change. Edit: for anyone who clearly didn't read my comment or wasn't able to interpret it... I am in no way judging the fact Justin sings about sex. Many artists do. But he marketed his album as being about him changing and this new chapter of his life with his wife. Even on his documentary he speaks about writing songs about his wife and makes it sound like they're meaningful and loving. Yet while other mature artists might include a sexual reference here and there or make a couple of songs about sex he made an entire album about it. With no actual loving and caring lyrics. It's gross because it makes him look like a Douche who sees his wife as a sex toy and is only with her for her looks and because she babysit him and puts up with his shit which btw you can see and hear him say something like that multiple times during the documentary. He has so many young fans so that's disturbing that he is making that out to be romantic and goals. And the fact he's promoting yummy with babies when it's about his sex life is just gross. Nobody here is judging him for having sex. We are judging him for using pedophilia to promote a sex song while speaking of being a better person and for making sex out to be love which is a damaging mindset. And because the album is terrible lbr. Ed sheeran sings about sex too and yet also can make romantic songs. So why can't Bieber do that anymore? For those saying that it's because he isn't a teenager anymore and therefore wouldn't do mushy songs... All artists sing about love. They all manage to do that in adulthood so let's not excuse this man for his lack of inspiration or hard work
@TheKatarinaGiselle4 жыл бұрын
I think the album is great. Me and my husband just had a great time after I danced to two if the songs for him..nothing wrong with singing about sex. He’s married and has a great sex life..it makes for a healthy marriage. Don’t shame him for growing up and being in a new place in his life. He clearly loves Haley and having sexuality included in his music doesn’t cheapen that..bold of you to assume that lol..and I am not a “belieber” either. Shit, ai has already had my first son by the time I discovered him on KZbin when he was like only 8 years old Nd told everybody around me he was going to be famous. Had no clue he would be AS big as he is, but knew he would be famous. He is at an interesting place in his life and five years ago I would have been singing about the same shit. He’s enjoying his marriage, nothing wrong with that! Sex with your life partner *should* be mind blowing..setting a good example Justin.

I agree. It seems a bit strange and gross that the only aspects of his marriage that he wants to sing about is the sex and the toxic fights is very telling. Writing about sex and honesty is good and fine, but when it's all he sings about, it's just strange :/

Katarina Giselle I think you missed the point. The user was saying that the lyrics have far less meaning than they used to in older songs (no problem in singing about sex, but singing about it all the time-yikes). There also have been no efforts from the producers in trying to change the style of the music. It’s boring and Justin knows it. That is why he promoted his own album so heavily.
