Slippery Gypsy yes, I realize that, but he has developed much further than in the amateurs. The power that he delivers is fantastic, and then light and energy conserving in between exchanges. Dominating. Love it. One of my favourite fighters right now.

Jacob Chappelle definitely improved but in the amateurs it’s a lot more speed orientated power punches aren’t rewarded like pro fights so your style no matter who you are would revolve around that

Slippery Gypsy well, I have 12 years of competitive boxing experience. I won my first 15 fights in a row, 14 by KO, several with devastating body shot knock outs. Finished with 17 wins 3 losses. Could not get medical clearance to fight beyond that because I was diagnosed with a terminal illness.

I do think that it was a close run fight from what I could see , half the fight was staring at the post . I do think the man in blue slightly won , I think he connected more solid punches. A lot of Nikitas punches were straight up powerful but some were sloppy . I also think Nikita is weak on defense he hangs his face out there like a horse wanting an apple. Just to easy for a good boxer to hit. He needs to Try to watch snd learn some Mayweather tactics. Anyway I’m white and I’ve seen a lot of black prejudice ( I think they’re even pressured to do this by their peers) so I know it exists . But to be fair I don’t think Nikita won this fight. It was really close and both guys fought hard with heart to the very end.

@pleaslucian
@pleaslucian 3 жыл бұрын
@@JohnSmith-zx1bg No credible determination either way can be made from this video. As many people in the comments have already noted, half of the footage is of the ring post. In light of that fact, the insistence that Ababiy won can only be a result of pure unadulterated eurocentrism, which is comically ironic considering that he's Russian and the people here arguing are undoubtedly of western European descent. The accusation of racism, laughable in this context, is a projection of their own bigotry. The notion that African descended fighters need systemic bias in order to win boxing matches is absurd to anyone with even the vaguest knowledge of boxing history. Next thing you'll be arguing that Rocky Marciano was the greatest fighter who ever lived. You guys need straight jackets.

I would have called it a draw with a lean to the brown guy. A lesson learned by Nikita and it shows in his many upcoming bouts. What we did not see was the power of his punches as we do today. We saw very little shots to the kidneys. He has come a long way since this time. I do believe Justin showed good form and plan to see what he is doing and did in 2020. Unlike some that have a tilted view, I just want to see a good fight and the best of the best fighter win.

It is impossible to accurately judge this match based on this video. A good portion of the fight was out of view, which makes it curious that anyone would offer a definitive opinion about the accuracy of the judging. Either way, it seemed to be a good competition from what I could see. And Nikita's punching power was definitely on display. I look forward to seeing him in the future.

People who are saying Nikita won that fight just don’t understand amateur scoring. The winner is the person who landed more scoring blows. Period. A knock down punch counts no more than a jab. If you just look up the number of scoring blows, white dude lost. Yes his punches were harder but that doesn’t matter in amateur boxing.
