Thanks for posting an excellent interview! I just saw the movie today and was really emotionally affected by it. I've never been into Marvel or other super-hero flicks. "Blue Bayou," is so well crafted in every way: acting, directing, scenery and realism. It was a joy to see this wonderful movie in my local theatre for the bargain price of $6!

Can anyone explain the significance of this 16th camera Justin talking about? Is it a better camera or did he have to compromise and use this 16th?

He means a 16mm film camera, which is the diameter of celluloid film used in certain types of non-digital film cameras. Justin chose this for aesthetic purposes, since it is actually more difficult (and expensive!) to shoot on these type of cameras than it is a modern digital film camera.

I love that he's getting Asian faces into movies, but I gotta say he seems to falling into the trap of cliché emotional storyline gimmicks for his characters.
