Earlier today the Steelers traded for Bears QB Justin Fields. They traded away a 2025 6th round pick that can become a 4th round pick based off of playing time. In 13 games last season, Fields threw for 2,562 yards with 16 TDs to 9 INTs. He also rushed for 657 yards and 4 TDs. Russell Wilson is expected to open the summer as the starting QB with Fields as the number two. Excited for him to learn from Wilson and hopefully thrive in a new system. #Steelers

I’ve been a fan of Fields since his high school years, but let’s keep it real here…Russ will probably start until week 6 unless we’ve a winning record by then, if so they’ll probably let him start until week 10, but I don’t think Russ is the answer this season. Fields is one if not the most electric QB in the entire league, and his scrambling ability is what we need rn. I loved what Omar Khan did in the draft, but since they’re building a run-first type of system, and considering that Russ isn’t that mobile anymore, I don’t think he’ll be starting by December. If they’re truly aiming for the playoffs and even the AFC North title then they gotta give Justin some playing time, and by “some” I mean at least 6 or 7 weeks as a starter, only then we’ll know if he’s the real deal or not. He’s in the best position he’s been in his career so far in terms of OL and RB help, and maybe Pickens ain’t DJ Moore, but he’s still a top 10 WR in terms of talent in my opinion…Honestly I can’t wait for the season to start!

Chicago fan here- JF busted his ass and was the only thing worth watching for 3 years- His last year he finally had ---2 'count em' weapons and improved. , get him some support and stand back. He has a good arm, is smart and has been a class act in the face of one of the worst situations a rookie qb could face- in a town that destroys qbs. BTW - idiots here will say "our line wasn't that bad"-yeah because we had houdini as qb who raised their stats. If we didn't they be last. GB ran over our line like tissue last year. watch the game.
