Nah, I think that’s just a character trait of Ryan Poles. Dude was a player himself, a Bears player. Fields did nothing wrong. He was respectful. He didn’t blow up the locker room and the team is basically built. They didn’t need to try to get the highest offer for Fields so why fuck him over?

If you haven't learned by now, it doesn't matter how they rank these qbs, it's all an opinion, the franchise and situation matter more than anything. I could care less if Caleb is THE best ever prospect to enter the nfl Brady, and Purdy made all these very same "evaluators" look like the talking heads that they are.

@@BesTiCaN1000Brady wasn’t Brady early on. Him and Purdy both had systems to help them come along. But there certainly traits on film that you can translate to the NFL. That’s how Simms was able to pluck Stroud and Mahomes above all the other prospects
@BesTiCaN1000
@BesTiCaN1000 27 күн бұрын
@buddysteele7624 I'm pretty sure you just repeated the exact thing I said. The franchise and situation are far more important than any "trait" an evaluator deems a player to have. Actually, Fields was touted as an elite prospect entering the draft very much like Caleb and on another note one of Caleb's KNOCKS is his accuracy seems to dip when he's forced to play from the pocket and he struggled against top defenses in college so basically it comes down to where a player ultimately ends up playing that determines his career and development!

Poles and the rest of that organization knew Fields was given a raw deal. You could see it on Poles face whenever he spoke to the media about trading Justin. And it's the reason he took less compensation to honor Justin's request to be traded to the Steelers!

Florio is such a square in that suit. It fits his character totally. He’s not a football guy no matter how hard he tries to pretend to be. And you can see that during the draft and combine interviews. The players and coaches don’t connect with Florio at all, while totally clicking and chopping it up with Simms every time. Florio is always left on the outside trying to force himself into the conversation

The same issues he had as a rookie he had as a 3rd year pro. Didn’t see the field, held the ball too long, fumbled too much, was inaccurate in the 10-20 yard range, slow release, slow drop back, and was bad past his first read. “It didn’t work out and it’s nobody’s fault” Yea I think Justin Fields just didn’t live up to the expectations of the team and fanbase so it’s over. His fault he didn’t learn the playbook, dissect coverage, and overall just not grow enough from year to year. Any positive was immediately countered with “they lost anyways” or “these throws werent consistent money tosses you can count on” Chicago doesn’t care one bit about Justin Fields he’s an ex girlfriend that wasn’t the one and is wished the best. Doesn’t mean he won’t be the one for the Steelers but I doubt it he’s kind of limited. I’m sure fields understands and IS grateful for a second spot with a great organization that is fundamentally great. Not many players get to go the Steelers and have a chance to start at qb it’s pretty special but not as special as what he could’ve had

Listening to Bear fans bash Justin will feel so good when Justin goes off this year and is in the MVP conversation thanks to a team that plays to his strengths with weapons on Offense and Defense and a HC that doesn’t give up 30 points to the other team in the 4th quarter at least 3 times a game. The bears will be the laughing stock of the NFL again when Caleb plays well but Flus cost the team at least 4 games and they finish 6-11 last in their division again and Flus gets fired. Hopefully the next HC will be Ben Johnson to help the Bears become relevant again until another Nagy type implosion and they are back to rebuilding in 4 years with a new QB and a new Generational talent. please trade Caleb before you ruin him we want to see how good he can really be with a good HC and a great organization
