The kid is saying all the right things and he's getting involved in the community already. He's doing everything right. If his play comes to match his attitude and actions off the field, the Bears will have finally found their elusive franchise qb. Funny thing is that whenever he's speaking at the podium, his face says "I really don't want to be here (on the podium)". First time I heard him I thought "uh-oh, this kid doesn't want to be here". But it seems that's just the way he is when he's doing public speaking. Can't wait for a press conference after a loss being asked about the game and saying "We're on to Cincinnati". Don't doubt the man who said that Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen were the best qbs coming into the 2018 draft and that Herbert and Burrow were way better than Tua and Justin Jefferson was the best receiver in his class coming into last year's draft.

Why do folks even do like that? Does it serve some good or impress anyone at all. I think the world of Justin Fields and one reason is His humblenessanother his intellectual apptitude to continually grow as a QB but moreso as a person. That's impressive. Whatever anyone wants to think or say. It' should be a free country and their own free will. If You want to know, his intelligence test results shows Him to be high functioning cognitively and emotionally. I promise He's not boohooing. Anyone with such a mind has the apperception to grow in the world. Working to make Himself better as His own choice; Using experience to be a better person. He's a Christian and it brings me joy. He doesn't speak bad of any person. And where I once doubted Him myself am pleased to say Justin Fields doesn't ever quit. They might not have won the national championship. They were missing Trey Sermon, Tommy Togai, and several other key pieces against Alabama. But He took on a very talented Clemson team and Trevor Lawrence hurt. He threw the ball all over the field and confounded Clemson. Alabama was just too much after losing 4-5 key pieces. I'm a big Borrow guy but realized just how good Justin Fields living in Ohio. I don't mean to offend anyone. Be Well and Best Regards to All. I realized years ago how much greater life is lived. When we live without animious toward anyone nor harbor grudges or desire to belittle any other. With no personal grievances. Only honest conversation with humility and goodwill in civil discourse and reverence to encourage others. I'm no pushover I have served in 82 Airborne and HHC 20th Airborne Engineers aka (Sappers). I know the blood guts and the mud seem glorious to some. I don't knock that. But, a live lived in peace and Truth are Blessings.

@Dave Eastwood I think you struggle with context. In this instance that you are getting your panties in a wad about, Dan Orlavsky was relaying information from other people. That is his job. If you are going to cry and get angry with someone because they relayed third party information about an individual in an assessment process prior to being hired, then the issue is you, not them. The fact that twitter got all pissed off about what was said is mind numbing. It's like nobody wants to actually listen to the words that definitively came out of his mouth.

One tipped ball for a pick today and no throwing TD but had 64 yarder to Mooney that was a thing of beauty. He averaged over 18 yrds an attempt today🐻⬇️. Threw the ball less than 20 times it was 190 yards on the ground that was the offense main strength. 200 plus yards on the day passing is not bad though. He's going to get better as it goes.

If someone has a problem with racism in society, let them go to the source of racist theology! We're all taught Darwinism. His book is called origin of species and preservation of favored races". That right there is academia's shame! By teaching children that some races are more favored or evolved than others is official endorsement that some people are more evolved than others. But academia says there is no evidence of the Exodus. Nevermind the evidence. We've been given racist theology and speculation and conjecture for nothing making all things. Violating 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics. Fossil evidence of missing links have been proven fradualulant. But we are to blame the other guy with more or less pigment because news readers show me who to blame. By applied science I've discovered institutional academia and the creation of standardized tests and learning have taught us to receive our opinions and correct answers by parroting the spokespeople of our delusion. All people are created equal and have sovereign free will to examine evidence and critically examine evidence through compiling evidence to reach intelligent conclusions. Instead we have been given "unscientific" declaration for what is acceptable for an individual to believe and those who don't believe confident statements that exclaim racist ideals being proven as "scientific"... A child with the capacity to apply scientific methodology against Big bangs and racist evolutionary doctrines can easily discern how contemptable disengenius indoctrinated betrayals against the unsuspecting multitude have denied the Spiritual nature of our existence. That materialism is not suited for obtaining Truth and searching out deep waters in wisdom. Academia is good for reading writing and arithmetic. Encouraging intellectual maturity and curiosity in critically examining the world we live. We are so much better than pretending to be smart and smug enough to blame others of racism when we only need to be honest with ourselves why do people put on like they care but don't have the courage to speak out against ignorant and dangerous lies and the pigmalian "preservation of favored races" Which plainly implies that some races are more evolved. I know better. But would any evolutionist defend their belief; Using reason, civility, and science?

As a Niners fan, I believe we picked right with Trey Lance(sits behind Jimmy G for 1-2 years) as he wouldn't divide the locker room adding a talent and NFL ready QB like Justin Fields. Congratulations Bears fans, Fields is a stud.

I think that is why the 49ers passed on Fields. He is a competitor and would cause controversy because of his talent. Im a 49er fan i think Fields is the best quarterback in the draft by far

I see more athletic trubisky when I watch him play qb. People are right when they say he is inaccurate. He also makes bad decisions with the ball. Go watch the northwestern game last year. Ryan day took the ball out of his hands that day because fields play was causing them to lose.

@@blankname6629 you are TERRIBLY mistaken, I have watched every snap he has played in Ohio state and I have watched every game since I was 10. I hear you, I've been one since '79 and would love to see it. The nonsense going around that Chicago is where qb's go to die is bull💩 the Bears formula has always been, good defense, good running game and a serviceable qb... they've never drafted thinking "hey we need a quarterback" not when you have Jim Harbaugh, Mike tomzack, and Rex Grossman as picks.. those qb's would have went anywhere and ended up backups.
@Frost-ze6rw3 жыл бұрын
@@northernstar6641 It’s true that QBs die in Chicago but Fields will most definitely change that
@northernstar66413 жыл бұрын
@@Frost-ze6rw possibly... we won't know until he actually has a full season. I don't subscribe to the " its where qb's go to die" for the simple fact that Chicago has never made having a good qb a priority, until recently.

I've been an Ohio State fan for 50 years and I liked Fields while he was a Buckeye, but I have to be honest in evaluating him. Fields looked awesome as a Buckeye, but keep in mind he was on an offense that in every position had 3rd stringers who could have started for most other colleges. He had a loaded offense and most of his games were against far, far inferior teams. With the exception of 1 or 2 games, he struggled mightily against good defenses. I wish Fields the best of luck in the NFL, but I won't be shocked if he is mediocre at best.

How was he hated on by analysts that said he was amazing but they wouldn’t pick him second? I’m sorry but when you break the film down he was terrible under pressure his senior year. Where are the reasons for that? I’m sure there were but when you’re about to invest your entire future in a quarterback those things make you really nervous. Also, Ohio State is always the very best team in his conference bye tons. It’s much better than Clemson overall it always has track star receivers and look what happened whenever he played a team that was as good as him. He had three bad games for senior year, again Steven says that weren’t that great they just sent a lot of pressure. In my opinion they were hating on Zack Wilson much more because he came out of nowhere and everybody thought he was a hype job. The fact is if you go and watch the film and break it down not just watch games, Zack Wilson got the ball out of his hands so quickly and so amazingly that he ended pressure before it ever got there many times. They did misdiagnosed fields though. They said he was bad going to second and third reads and he couldn’t think quickly. That wasn’t true when he had a clean pocket he would go to his fourth option sometimes. But most times he was a scramble. But once the interior collapsed and he was contained he was not a good quarterback. He had a 50 passer rating under pressure if he decided to sit back and pass. It’s pretty obvious why, when you’re Lamar Jackson or Justin fields you don’t work on that scale because you don’t have to you’re better than everyone else in the athletics department. Zack Wilson was undersized and a year and a half younger his entire career, so he had to learn how to survive and thrive. Then he grew 2 inches and went from 180 pounds to 211. The one thing I will say, I thought Trevor Lawrence is overrated also. He had his worst year his senior year and once again Clemson is better than everyone they played by a lot except Ohio State and we saw what happened. He’s an excellent quarterback both of them are, but these five star recruits always have hate machines around them since they are boys. They pumped him up because it’s a business when they go to the NFL and get these Max contracts, Your entire family and their management and their agents and everyone gets rich. The people like Bucky Brooks two “advise” them which really means he goes on all the sport shows and Shills. When you compare Trevor Lawrence and Justin fields to my favorite Prospect, Justin Herbert for the most talented from the year before Josh Allen, the media hated on him for real because they were not a five-star recruits And when you miss on talent that big it makes the media and the scouts look like they don’t know what they’re doing. Which many times they don’t because like I said it’s not about finding true talent it’s about money and hoping these kids and they’re young. Does anyone really think Trevor Lawrence or Justin fields he’s going to be Justin Herbert season from last year? If you do you’re either crazy or you or a time traveler, because those records were broken by Baker Mayfield and no one thought they’d be beaten again for a long time, then he comes with no preseason on a brand new team and shatters the records. Both these guys will have full seasons and preseasons, he learned five minutes before he played Patrick Mahomes that he needed to go in and he looked every bit as good as Mahomes. Dan Orvlosky was duped by the patriots because they wanted fields to go cheap, so they leaked him information that was wrong but he came out and said so. So that’s not him hating. He said many times fields would be his pick. He was trying to explain why he had fallen so much. Thats another thing when people hate often times it’s the team that want to draft a kid. You can’t listen to what people say before the draft it’s all smoke and mirrors and like you said it doesn’t matter anyways. In fact you do not want to be the first taken you’re always on a shitty team. Fields gets to walk on to one of the best defense of team in the league that has a stacked office just waiting to explode

It is suspicious to say the least. Him and Lawrence were 1a and 1b coming into college and lived up to the hype, he beat Trevor in their matchup, and somehow he went from arguably the best to maybe the 4th or 5th best QB in his draft class 🤔

The media negativity about Fields, reminds me of all naysayers comments about DK Metcalf and how did that work out. The reality is until they get onto the field and play no one knows how good or bad every rookie will be. That is why the #1 draft pick can be a bust and a 6th rounder can become the GOAT. Go Hawks
