As NFL fans we're so blessed to have this level of analysis these days. (Been watching football for 50 years, wish I had this all along as it really elevates my understanding of the game.) I thinks me, along with other Steelers fans, have to be very pleased and excited about Justin. He’s settling in with the team, the offense is still working on gelling with each other, and they’re winning games. Justin has not made any game breaking errors and he’s showing potential to grow in this offense. Once the offense gets their execution down better, they can be pretty dangerous. Let's go where? He is on pace for 11 touchdowns if he plays all 17 games. I don't care if he is 20 for 20 passing if all he is going to get is 150 yards and zero touchdowns, eventually, that's a losing combo. The Steeler defense is 3-0, Justin is near the bottom in quarterback stats and it's going to catch up with the Steelers, MY favorite team since the early 70's. Right now, there are about 40 quarterbacks I would rather have starting, including some retired guys sitting on a couch eating nachos with cheese dip.

One of the biggest takeaways from your Steelers breakdowns is how boom or bust Pickens is. Lots of talent, but also lots of mental mistakes. Tough to sustain great offense when he's your top guy! At least at this stage. I'm sure he'll improve with more experience.
@zuhayrc4 ай бұрын
Think Pickens' problem is that he's an athletic freak and has always relied on his physical talent to produce results. He's great at contested catches and has terrific speed to go with it. But route running is a very cerebral skill, and you can't just brute force a juke. It's a solvable problem, but Pickens needs to not be arrogant and actually want to fix it.

On the first QB run play the snap is high which throws off the timing. then 74 misses the block on the pull and instead of continuing forward he tries to back track and takes up space. Eventually as the offense grow together all the working parts will be like a well oiled machine.
