Loved Ian's take on this famous flute solo. Extrapolation is brilliant. Ray Thomas' memory survives intact, and now we have a new memory with Ian.

I'm glad Justin Hayward was a sport about doing something with Ian Anderson, after Ian had once publicly expressed interest in becoming part (i.e. official member) of the Moody Blues, which I believe was emotionally reserved for Ray, and is perfectly filled out to this day by Norda Mullen. It's nice to get the chance to hear that much drempt of 'Tull Tone' on the flute solo, and I thought it was creative and worth the effort. I enjoy hearing the most famous rock flautist of our day play the most famous flute solo, and make a version of it for himself. If only more art crossed over like this in the spirit of curiousity and freedom to explore.

The four minute miracle song that has lasted over fifty years...and loved just as much today as it was when first released. Not many songs can hold that claim to fame....and no, let's not put the Beatles into this equation. None of their songs were written in just four minutes. Nights in White Satin WAS.
