Do you know who is the composer of the first song ? Thanks a lot
@pdxfunkjunkie Жыл бұрын
@@tailladeyann2450 , that first song was "People Make the World Go Round" by the Stylistics, a Philly group. The composition is credited to Thom Bell and Linda Creed - Thom Bell was one of the group's producers and Creed collaborated on the lyrics. I'm sure the dad must be so proud of his two very talented children! He's talented as well, of course. I was proud for him. Refreshing to see such innate talent and the smiles that went with the performance.
@totallyfake28524 жыл бұрын
Everyone playing in this video has practiced for hours and hours, working their asses off. It isn't innate lol.
@boeingman7774 жыл бұрын
@@totallyfake2852 Oh good grief.... the talent is in their genes. I understand your point and no doubt they've practiced to fine tune their show. But those children were born with the ability to express their musicianship. I would bet that family has a history of musicians in the family tree.
@ollivirtanen51674 жыл бұрын
Greymatters The biggest ”talent” for these kids is the fact that they were born into a musical family and have most likely been influenced by music since a very young age. Of course, sertain aptitude for learning and memorizing things can be genetic, but musical talent isn’t like having a great body structure for running or swimming. If anyone puts enough focused practice into learning music, they will improve, no matter if they have ”a history of musicians in the family tree”. I think overusing the word ”talent” is quite disrespectful for all musicians spending thousands of hours fining their craft.
@boeingman7774 жыл бұрын
@@ollivirtanen5167 You prove my point...."born into a musical family".... You can type semantics all you want to, but the fact is there are people with innate abilities and that means literally they can excel in areas others will struggle with. I appreciate the effort of anyone practicing and attempting to perfect their abilities. I'm simply stating these children have an advantage. There's a reason we use the word "innate" and I'm quite certain I'm not using it out of context here. An example is those who can play by ear... If that's not genetic/innate then please tell me the word you would use.... And yes, that's a talent. Have a great day/night!
@ollivirtanen51674 жыл бұрын
@@boeingman777 Yes, it is true that being born to a musical family is definitely an advantage, but I wouldn't really call it ''innate'' or a ''talent''. As for perfect pitch and other real ''talents'', I personally find them not that impressive and not even that useful from a musician's perspective, at least in the long run. Personally I think that the most important things in music can only be learned through hours of practice and exposure to music. While I definitely wouldn't argue there isn't any musical talent out there, I would argue that the way it's highlighted over skill honed by thousands and thousands of hours of practice is a bit demeaning for the work. Have a great night/day too!
