@@EtiKai13 Russell Ferrante has a jazz fusion band called the Yellowjackets. Their albums are the best source, Russell is playing the keyboard 🎹 arrangements on the albums. A secondary source is one of his band members called Bob Mintzer who is the saxophone 🎷player from the band. Bob has publications where he teaches their music principles 💯

It's remarkable how that solo is almost exactly like the solo I just played at my gig last night...um...with, uh...lots of notes, and...some chromatic stuff, and...yeah, just like that. Um. Ummmm. No. I actually have no idea where that vocabulary or technique comes from, and J was already playing incredibly exciting stuff when he was 12. The guy is so gifted, and his music is a gift to us. Honestly, at my next gig I will probably be thinking about this video and although I will never have anything like his chops, it will inspire me to do as well as I can!
