Child prodigy Justin-Lee Schultz is coming to Utrecht for the first time! The now fifteen-year-old (!) Schultz was born in South Africa, started playing the keyboard at the age of five and soon turned out to be an exceptional talent. How exceptional? This can be heard on his debut album Gruv Kid (2020), with which Schultz single-handedly takes smooth jazz to a higher level. No wonder the multi-instrumentalist has created quite a buzz online, he now has more than half a million followers and he has attracted the attention of giants in the jazz world, including Quincy Jones, Robert Glasper and Stevie Wonder.

Schultz werd geboren in Zuid-Afrika, begon op zijn vijfde met keyboard spelen en bleek al snel een uitzonderlijk talent te zijn. Hoe uitzonderlijk?
