@@pilolkumang7286 Bai was unique..he began playing league in his mid twenties and went on to NRL to play two roles on the field for Melbourne Storm. He played the role of a winger and of a forward who would do hit ups after hit ups..He won the DALLY M awards in his first year..he was also Storm's leading try scorer and as his former coach Chris Anderson said " Marcus Bai is one of the spines and backbone of our club, when we are down we don't just look up to our halves to lift the team,we look to Marcus Bai" BAI was NEVER a reserve in the NRL,the toughest comp in the world..He was ALWAYS the PRIORITY NUMBER ONE PLAYER ON THE LIST,NO FEEDER CLUB NAMBAUT NAMBAUT Bai's real specialist position was centre, number 3,when he was playing in PNG with Port Moresby's Paga Panthers and the PNG Kumuls ..but when in NRL he switched to winger and played both roles of a winger and foward with ease, amazing ease. And after storms when he went to Super League and played for Leeds Rhinos, with his many tries and bulldozing runs he helped Leeds win the Super League grand final that year which they had NEVER done in 30 years, but Bai was the man. No homegrown PNG rugby league player will ever match Marcus Bai...never ever,..All these new breed of PNG nrl players are basically reserves who come off the reserve benches and have to pray every night that they'd make the NRL first grade and not the Intrust Super Cup. Please don't compare Olam to Bai..it's a big mismatch.
