Mesmerizing dismount! He let go of the bar in Beijing and landed in Shanghai.

Justin Spring, you and the rest of the team are amazing!!!! I'll never forget watching this on tv in 2008. I'm pretty sure my family and I were jumping around like maniacs after that landing.

I've checked a hundred times, and i cannot find one high bar routine at these olympics that recieved better execution scores than this... I remember watching this live and freaking out!

Patch of glue. Who would even think of that? Awesome. I'm waiting for someone to upload the BBC broadcasts of the London Olympics so I can actually hear some insightful, unbiased commentators who don't hesitate to get excited for all good performances, regardless of nationality. Take notes, NBC.

My goodness what a dismount!! Did that USA team win a medal? I can’t remember, I only remember the USA women getting silver.

@@mikeg8375 awesome!! And now our boys just did the same thing yesterday!!
@mikeg83753 ай бұрын
@saragrant9749 yup and that competition mirrored this one. They started and ended on the same events, and it came down to Nedoroscik's horee routine the same exact way it did for Artemev in 2008! Both of those guys ended up waiting the entire competition for their one routine, knowing it would come down to them and they both delivered. That's worth celebrating! Now the USA mens program needs to build on this momentum heading into LA in 2028. Some will say it's a long shot, but i wanna see our guys win the gold there like the ladies did in Atlanta!

@hartlj90 His execution score was 9.375. Huge number considering how many little deductions the judges can nickel-and-dime the gymnasts with on this event. He might not have the best natural form but Justin gains a lot of that back in amplitude, as we see with the release moves here. People are free to disagree with this, but i think he does the Cassina better than Cassina does.
@gatlar285 жыл бұрын
I agree, there is something about his Cassina that I like better than when others do it. I actually used to work out at the same gym as Justin when he was a little kid, like single digits.

yeah whenever they have tie they do a tie breaker like they did in the london olympics for example Mustafina tied for 8th place with Beth Tweddle on Floor but since Mustafina had a higher E score she went to the final

He scored a 15.675 for this routine - had he scored that in qualifications he would have had the fifth highest score and made it into event finals. He scored 15.375 and just missed qualifying.

Hey so this is just a general question- it's obvious that Justin SLAYED the high bar scene, similar to Jon and Joey, but if wikipedia is right, which it may not be, Jon and Justin scored the same in prelims, and both should have made high bar finals. Was some sort of a tie breaker invoke for a tie within teammates or something? I was only like 10 or 11, so I just don't remember.
