Am I the only person who gets slightly emotional watching these? I don't know why! I have a black lab who looks like Saku (I know he's not a lab!) and we love going on mini one or two day (sometime a bit longer) versions of Justin's trips. I simply dream of being able to spend the time to go on trips like we see Justin doing. I genuinely have a tear in my ear watching these - it really touches me deeply. I long to be in this wilderness with my best friend simply enjoying each other's company and the landscape. Most of you probably think I'm weird as hell but I wonder if I'm alone feeling like this watching Justin's films?

Hey Justin, I’ve been following on you tube since you began. I didn’t realize at first that you’re the son of a couple of my good friends before I left Home thirty years ago. Me and your dad played hockey together for a long time, and know your mom well, salt of the earth! Can’t wait to watch your excursions, they are wicked! The markings on the caribou horns are most likely from mice, I have the same marks on a bunch of moose antlers. Love Sak! Knew right away where his name came from.You’re quite the lad, keep them coming! Go Habs Go!

“Give us a hand Saku!” Hilarious 😂! Love your videos! Thank you. I have to ask, how does Saku adjust to being at home? On these trips, he appears to be leash free, he has a “job” of scouting ahead and carrying his pack. He’s with you doing your thing…then suddenly he’s in a house on a street and has to be on a leash. How does he handle that? Cheers 🍻
@JustinBarbournlexplorer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks he adjusts but you can tell he craves the constant movement and duty. We get out on many short trips. This life has changed him. He's a working dog and most content traversing the woods. All the best 👍

Thanks again. I wish you and Saku many happy years of travel. Cheers 🍻

I was about to ask the same question Captain only my question is How does Justin feel inside a house after a long trek? I picture him looking around and thinking My God what am I doing here..and feeling rather traumatized tbh. I could be wrong but I think he'd fare better to come home to a cabin off grid.. idk I could be wrong but I doubt it as my own personal 'Must Live' water in front me and woods out back no matter where I've lived this was and is my # 1 priority.
