I love how y’all are raising yalls daughter. It seems like y’all are teaching her the values of creativity and the arts. I was raised to believe that education was the MOST important thing and that if I didn’t make education my number 1 priority and go to college then I would be a loser working at a low paying job like Walmart. Now everyday I struggle with believing that if I don’t do college then I’ll be a loser and that their is no other way to get a job if I don’t have a college degree. I have multiple anxiety attacks a semester and I constantly hate where I am at in life. I broke down and cried several times this past semester and I wasn’t even sure why. I want to do something else with my life but I feel like if I’m not making a lot of money then I won’t be doing my life right... but right now I honestly feel dead and bored most of the time. Anyway thank y’all for showing her that she doesn’t have to have a “traditional” lifestyle to be successful! 💕 she will be happy for most of her life

Hey Love, really appreciate you opening up in your comment above. I know how tough it can be as I experienced a lot of what you described above. (Juby) There are a lot of assumptions and beliefs from past generations that we live with today that simply have changed such as the need to have a degree to be successful. Its tough as well when you want so much to have approval from your loved ones but to have that you have to sacrifice happiness. I agree with Rainbow Kelly 13 below but also would recommend a book I really enjoyed: Big Magic: Creative Living beyond fear. Sending big love and support your way always.
