I notice that Abe is moving the checkers with one hand and stop the clock with the other hand. Clearly not allowed..
@JustinNowellPlaysBG5 ай бұрын
@@patrikgullberg2840 It is clearly allowed, you can tell it's allowed because he is doing it. It's is clearly a disadvantage to have the clock on the opposite side of your dominate hand. In private games rules are agreed to ahead of time, anything can be allowed or not allowed. I once played a session where if anyone rolled 66 in a race they had to reroll. It was agreed to by all parties and implemented.

You posted this almost as fast as they play😂😅. Jokes aside, glad you posted this. And doing a series a great idea. ❤ Edit: was it 2% or 3% per second on the net time difference. I can’t remember. Jason would know. This was a tremendous day

I figured he won the UBC Contender Tournament so I have to put some more shine on him for being out there battling in the streets. Taking on tough competition for $€£¥

Regarding the 65, where ZZ played 8/3 8/2 rather than 13/8 13/7 After ZZ's play, 8/3 8/2, you have the two inner board blots as you mentioned, making it harder to hit on the next roll, but is is not just about that. Look at the outfield, it's totally stripped and ZZ's play takes away the landing spot for the midpoint, so now, 26 pips and 2 checkers hold 62 pips and 4 checkers and considering the inner board strengths, Abe's midpoint is a real dragon and the 21 point is a quite mobile tail. If one checker moves into the outfield and ZZ roll a 6 that is not a 66, he might be looking at leaving a double shot. And even if he doesn't leave have an immediate awkward roll, bringing things home can be quite difficult. On the other hand, after 13/8 13/7, you leave the minimal number of shots from a direct shot and if you get missed, you have much more flexibility the coming rolls and can improve the board. Basically, you get a much more playable position instead of a position that could get quite awkward very soon.

Enjoyable! Thank you. A little bit of extra exhilaration looking at XG’s ‘luck’ measurement when thinking about multiplying it by $300. (:

How much equity savings justifies using a second? If you find a play that is .05 better, but it took a second off the clock and thus cost $6, was it worth it? Depends on the stakes, I suppose.

yo justin, casual fan here.. love your channel but since it is 2024, technology and all, could we get visible cubes? (maybe post edit hacker stuff 🙃) i am bottle and a half of wine deep and with all the enthusiasm, i still can not stick to the show.. pay someone to edit the cubes or something, make it big and noticable 🙏 all the best and sorry for critique..

The budget for these shows is the same cost for watching...zero. Hiring someone is outside of that budget 🙂

As a player or teacher, how do you not know leaving 6-1 is a shot more than 5-2? Isn't that just basic? Don't people learn two checker distribution any more?
@PeterOzanne5 ай бұрын
So, if they used 100 seconds extra per session, that would equal $600 - 2 points. That doesn't seem a lot. I wonder if they are losing more equity by playing so fast!
