Hey Justin, great as always.. one 'humble suggestion'... on the chorus, with that Open E.. try hitting the D-voicing of the E on the 4th fret - then the A-voicing of the D on the 5th.. between "Don't you"...... E... D.... "Forget about -A"... really helps accentuate the keyboard hook.. Thanks again for all you do

Thanks, Justin. I have a 40-year class reunion. The Friday night is a BBQ, and my buddy, the host, picked up guitar when I did, but we have never played together due to the pandemic. This will be a good one to play together, and hopefully, the people know the words. 👍

just forwarded the link to my "kid" brother (turning 50, myself) for more or less the same reason- call it a family reunion- he's played in a number of bands, but I've just re-started after 35 years off ;-P

Thanks for a good cover song idea. If any of you want to take it a bit beyond strumming, it occurs to me *this is a very good song for whole guitar legato.* Hit a big fat chord like the open D here, let it ring, & shake the guitar in time. Single, double, quad, whatever you can manage. You'll need a good grip on the neck, & a strap helps. As does holding an electric up by the amp, but it definitely works with acousitc too. You'll get some vibrato along with the legato (the shaking moves your fingers on the fretboard.) Watch good rhythm players, many do whole guitar legato all the time. Typically just a couple shakes, but it really makes your playing stand out. For maximum effect play your electric up by the amp & lean forward so it swings free on the strap. BTW you mostly shake the fretting hand, though you can use the other hand on the rump of the guitar too.
